Had a terrible delivery and follow up customer experience when we ordered a couch. We set up a delivery date and time and were told to have someone home so delivery team could put couch in the garage. I had my 70 year old mom wait at the house for us since we were working. An hour after delivery window had expired my mom calls Slumberland because no one had come by yet. She is told the couch has been delivered and is sitting in our driveway. She looks outside, and sure enough, the couch is sitting in our driveway blocking our garage door. She is now blocked in our garage and cannot leave. Again, she is 70 years old and cannot move a couch by herself. The woman at Slumberland is unphased telling her there’s nothing she can do about it. I get home and cannot move the couch either because I am 6 months pregnant. I call Slumberland, talk to the same woman (really wish I had gotten a name) express my displeasure and she tells me leaving the couch in the driveway is fine and the delivery team is on a tight schedule. It’s not fine, that’s why we set up a delivery date and time where I was told it would be put in the garage until we could move it. Anyone could have taken it off my driveway. Get a robo text a few days later asking to rate my experience. Give a 2 out of 10 and explain my situation and never heard back. I see Slumberland gives a canned response to low reviews on Google. I would be curious to know if there is any actual follow through. Will not spend my money here again. Terrible...
Read moreThe only reason I'm giving it a 2 is because the delivery guys were incredible and really understanding of my condition when they came to deliver our furniture. The guy in the store who sold us our items appeared to be a typical sales person. Working for that commission. My mom, however, loved him, so instead of going to a local store, we decided to buy at Slumberland. Their fabric choices for their in house line of couches was...outdated...to say the least and kindest. Really difficult to find something I could actually stand having in my home. The man, although coming across as knowledgeable in the inventory, needs to brush up on what is included in delivery and what's not. He said that furniture haul away was included in the price for which we bought our new pieces. Imagine my surprise when we're told that only the beds could be hauled away and not the couch which I had also replaced. So now I have too much furniture for my smaller living room and no place to move it to as we're both disabled and can't drive. Again, the delivery guys were AWESOME, and I appreciate them so much! But the sales reps...I won't ever buy from Slumberland furniture again. If he would have told me the truth from the beginning, that would be one thing. But he omitted that little detail, and now I'm seriously questioning my entire purchase which shouldn't be the case after how much I spent in...
Read moreI have dealt with Slumberland in the past and have never been disappointed in the service or the product. Today was no exception. Out salesperson, JFMA, identified us as we walked in to the store, welcomed us to Slumberland, and listened to what we were looking for. He patiently escorted us through the store showing us various options for the products we were looking for and listened attentively to my 85 year old mother's stories, even though they had nothing to do with what we were looking at. He was informative on the products, and truly was interested in finding the right product for my mother. He never tried to point us to the most expensive product, but listened to my mother's feedback and showed her three different mattresses before she decided on the right one for her. At the end when discussing insurance options, my mother made it very clear what she felt about these insurance items, but the rep still took the time to make a recommendation on coverage for the chair, which is a power chair. Because of his recommendation, my mother agreed with the wisdom in have insurance on this and agreed to coverage on the chair, We left the store feeling very satisfied that we got exactly what we were looking for.
