Marshalls — Local services in Onley

I’m only writing this review because I feel bad for a young lady who was treated unfairly on 10/28/25 and let go from Marshalls for something she had no control over.

I’m a marijuana smoker — no shame in that. On a particular day, I happened to be in Marshalls, and you could probably smell it on me. Apparently, a customer complained about the smell and assumed it was coming from an employee, I believe her name is Chazmine. She’s always been very helpful every time I’ve visited the store.

I truly feel that Marshalls did this young lady wrong. Instead of taking a customer’s word and making assumptions, management should have spoken to her first and gotten her side of the story. If they needed clarification, I would’ve gladly come in and admitted it was me — since I’m always in the store anyway.

If this is how Marshalls chooses to treat their employees, then I can’t continue to do...

Well it’s like most Marshall’s stores. It was clean at least. They apparently need to hire someone to re stock shelves after customers. I hope they wouldn’t just throw things on a shelf. Found some good sale items in the toys section. Electronics are on the cheaper side. Which you pay for what you get to be honest. Customer service at this location was awful. Asked questions floor staff can’t even answer or let alone know where the product is in the store. Then to question if I was sure it wasn’t there. How should I know? I don’t work there. Overall it was okay. Only the second time in a year I have even been here. Easy on and off at a stop light...

This store has way more options to choose from than any Marshalls in the Hampton roads area. I'm from the Eastern shore area but live in Norfolk va now. I was very impressed to see how well stocked and organized this store was. Mostly in the Norfolk area they're all messy and most times I can't find anything in them and end up leaving without buying anything so I say the store in the Hampton roads area can really learn something from this store. The only issue I had was that one of the workers kept following me around the store like I was going to steal until she realized I was hip to what she was doing and stopped...
