Are you on your way to Ocean City? Maybe heading south to Virginia Beach. If you’re ready for lunch or dinner, then Havana 13 is an excellent break from your long drive. If you’re a local then you definitely have got to make your way to this awesome restaurant.
We were on a weekend trip to Ocean City. After getting past the tunnel traffic, we decided it was time for dinner. Unfortunately, many of the restaurants along Highway 13 close by 8 o’clock. As we searched for a restaurant, we found Havana 13. We arrived at 8:30 keeping in mind that the restaurant closed at nine. As we walked in, we were immediately greeted by the White staff and the bartender. We told them that we would be quick, and their response was take your time. Havana 13 turned out to be a lucky strike. The cuisine was absolutely delicious. As I mentioned earlier, the weight staff is exceptional. Thank you for an awesome break to our evening drive! We’ll definitely make Havana 13 hour restaurant of choice whenever we’re traveling...
Read moreHavana 13...best Cuban food I've had since living in Key West. Family owned establishment with great owners and staff...truly authentic and mouthwatering food made with love and passion. Kitchen staff is amazing and the manager always remembers my name. Kind of like Cheers! Ropa Viega is amazing, melts in your mouth. Crab dip is a must. Shrimp and grits and so many other dishes...you just have to try everything. If you can order the banana bread...it's truly the best I've ever had. I work at the tunnel and share the restaurant info with customers...they are thrilled to find out about it and those who have tried it rave about it. You definitely need to check out Havana 13 in Onley on Wednesday through Saturday. It is definitely great Cuban cuisine!! Located at 4 Corners (Shopping center with Marshall's and Roses). I'm hooked...and you...
Read moreQuaint little cuban restaurant in a shopping center. I ordered to go since I was only traveling thru the Eastern Shore. It was convenient since it was on the main road. It was worth the time to wait for the cook to prep it compared to stopping at fast food. They had a variety of sandwiches. I ordered the Cuban sandwich and tostines (chrispy plantain). They were easy to eat while driving. I also ordered their jambalaya to take home for later. Great blend of flavors. I order plantain at other places but this was one of the best I have had. Wish I lived close because they have some other dishes I would love to try. a couple that stand out are the plantain dish with garlic and seafood and the hamburger with crab. It sounded...
