This is my review of the conference center's food policy. It does not allow outside food and drink. There are no exceptions. The policy is clearly posted at the entry doors. So what am I supposed to do when I have 25+ allergies and cannot eat out? I cannot buy food from your dining options because I know you cannot guarantee my health safety. Sure you have one snack I can buy, but that is not enough to get me through 7am to 9pm in a conference for 3-4 days straight and its not a balanced meal. Conferences do NOT have breaks long enough to go back to the hotel to eat an allergy free meal - AND I cannot bring outside food onto the premises. So, polices against outside food only persecute and punish people like me - people with severe allergies who now are forced to go without food all day long or choose to skip conference sessions to walk all the way back to the hotel to make some food to eat. It is not right to treat me and others with allergies this way. Change your policy so that people with food allergies and food intolerance can file for waiver to bring their own food on the premises. Put this up on your website and give us a food waiver badge so we can bring in our outside food. I missed a lot sessions that I needed to attend because I needed food. I did not get the value of what I paid to attend because you refused me the basic necessity of food. Change this policy to help those who should not have to choose between going hungry or skipping the next...
