Stay away.. far away...far, far away. I should have known this would be a bad stay when they called me on the way over from Phoenix. Apparently my card on file was expired,or so they said. I give them my debit card, which they promptly charged 150 on, one night stay. We make the 5 plus hour trip to the LA area, and arrive at 11 PM. We get to the front desk, only to have the desk clerk ( which I barely could understand ) tell me they don't accept my bank card. Mind you, this is the same bank card they gladly took 150.00 from just hours before. They tell me they don't accept 3rd party cards, Venmo, PayPal,etc. My card is from Chime, not a 3rd party vendor at all, a large bank called Stride Bank out of SF. They then force us to use a card we didn't want to use. It's 11pm, I'm not trying to find other hotels at this point. I'm told the charge will fall off at the night drop. 48 hours later, it still not off there. Let's add the fact that I am a Choice Rewards member, not that this place gives a flying F about. Even though we have enough stays to be gold members, none are showing where it would make us gold members which we should be. ( That I will address with Corporate, when I call my family there to mention this horrible stay as well ) So, let's move to Saturday morning, I talk to the unprofessional young lady that called us on the way over. I wanted to speak to the manager, and surprise, there's not one there. We go hang out with our car family, which is why we were in CA. We come back to no parking around the front at all, I'm a disabled Veteran, and ended up parking way at the back. There are 2 handicap, and someone that wasnt disabled was parked there. We get up to the 3rd floor, non smoking floor that we requested, only for it to absolutely stink of pot. Not a little, but the whole dang floor. We get to our room at almost midnight, only to have our " neighbors " banging on things, the kids there running up and down the halls. I called the front desk, which helped for about 20 minutes, then back to loud tv, screaming, and running. They finally got quiet about 145. The bed is decently comfortable, the pillows sucked. The water pressure in the shower was horrible. The sad thing, we purposely decided to stay here. We stayed here 2 years ago, and it was good. I'm going to do everything in my ability to make sure everyone I know, stays away from here. I run several car related Facebook groups. One has 53 THOUSAND members, one has 5 thousand, and the last 2 thousand each. That's a lot of people who come to Southern California. I'm also making sure my family knows. Hopefully Kim the owner knows I'm not messing around. If you need a hotel close to the airport, choose Motel 6, Hampton,or...
Read moreI am currently staying here as I write this review and have been up all night from the ac unit cycling on and off when it is is the on position and set to High not auto.its currently 5:24am on 10/25/24 Haven’t slept a wink. Jacuzzi was broken last night and got in it cold when realizing it was broken. Coffee maker was filthy after I ran water through it 6 times. Next one they gave me the light indication didn’t work so I thought it was not on when hot water came pouring out and burned my hand . Had issue with tv and maintenance never came in timely manner so I had to figure out and fix myself. Lucky I am mechanically inclined. All I wanted to do was get a good ice cold nights sleep but instead I’m not I cannot sleep do to noise from ac unit on off on off and the noise from airport which I would not have minded If the AC would’ve worked properly when I first got here one of the elevators smelled like marijuana then one of the elevators broke out of the two the staff has nothing but excuses maintenance isn’t here. They’re super busy. Very, not happy right now and when they do get the manager to come in, we will be having a a conversation I’m not paying for a room that I can’t sleep in and not be able to use the amenities of the hotel as well After being Lied to about getting a new room in 30 minutes which took almost 4 hours that room was also subpar. When we asked to speak to the GM Kim which we found out is actually the owner of this hotel. She started threating us telling us we had to leave , she was calling the police to have them arrest for trespassing and throw us out on the street with our child and when tried reasoning with her she said she didn’t care we complain too much in her broken English and that she can do what she wants and we be arrested and trespass. Due to my medical condition which now has been irritated by her I have lost sleep , been through a massive amount of emotional Distress not knowing if we were going to be displaced and arrested beicase we complained about subpar accommodations and btw I called Ontario police department and they confirmed even though I paid for the room with credit card I could be asked to leave for trespassing for complaining and there would of been nothing we can do about that.. Stay far away from this owner/GM Kim and her hotel she’s bad news and very mean and she should lose her right to own this hotel. This is not a 3 Diamond hotel no way no how. This is not the same place I stayed in over 10 years ago she is cheap and this place has been run down compared...
Read moreI have been to Comfort Suites across the nation, east coast to west coast, over the years for job related training. I found my stay at the Ontario Convention Center by far to be my best experience ever at a Comfort Suites Hotel. The Desk Staff; TJ, Jessica, Emmanuel, David and Cynthia, were always friendly and helpful no matter what time of day I encountered them. TJ, Jessica, and Emmanuel took turns making cookies for guests and always had some fresh when I came back from a tedious day of training. Always worth a smile and a happy moment. Emmanuel was helpful with my Uber App and letting me know where good places to eat were. TJ and Jessica, always busy, always answered my questions with a smile and helped me when I needed to get things printed, like Airline reservation paper work and the odd email or two. David would always get the door for me when I came back in after having a cigarette outside late at night. I understand the need for security, keeping the main door locked, and I didn't mind going out for a smoke, since I smoke outside when at home anyway.
The House keeping staff were very good, and arranged when to change my sheets for my bed. They kept my room clean at all times and didn't move any of my school materials. They were kind and pleasant when I encountered them. They were marvelous.
I even encountered a custodian gentleman fixing a hall light fixture that was flickering and he gave me a big smile and said hello as I passed by. Even the kitchen staff smiled and had a good morning to share. They kept the coffee going!
All in all; compared to other places I have stayed, the Ontario staff made me feel comfortable and at home. Isn't that what the name Comfort Suites is all about? I was actually sad when I left.
On my return to home I discovered I will be back there in August! So I am looking forward to the seeing the friends I made there again. And Yes, I do count them as my friends now. Good people with a smile to cheer you up, and happy to help you when...
