Please please do NOT, I repeat DO NOT waste your money and kill your appetite by going here. Disrespectful owner who is unwilling to hear what a customer has to say to the quality of food, who has tried indian food at many great places before. Please read details below: After a long day at work, I decided to go for some fulfilling & tasty indian food in Inland Empire. I convinced my friends to try a new place based on some of the good reviews. But, this was the biggest disappointment in the name of Indian food. I don’t know if it was a day the restaurant was having or what the reason was but to start with, We ordered bhel puri. It was totally tasteless, without any proper chutney and potatoes tasted as if they were from days ago, & this was the first time that I tried bhel with yogurt in it?! Upon mentioning that bhel usually wouldn’t have yogurt, the owner tells us “that’s how it is made, every place has different style, if u want it a certain way, you should specify”! I have tried many restaurants across the nation and don’t remember trying at even a single place where they added yogurt! Who would have thought Bhel would have yogurt?! Then we decided to give the main entrees a chance. My friends ordered chicken entree with curry, and I ordered Malai kofta along with Garlic Naan. We thought Naan looked great so looked forward to the food. The first bite we took of each entree, we couldn’t believe how bland, tasteless, totally UNAUNTHENTIC food it was. We expressed our disappointment and the waiter was very kind to say that I am sorry but let me make changes and bring something else. At this point it was already 9pm and we were hungry, we decided to just ask for check so that we can go somewhere else. The owner comes to our table asking what was the problem with food. We started giving our honest opinion. My friend said that the chicken didn’t have any aroma or taste and the Malai Kofta gravy literally tasted like Dal!!!!? The owner became defensive and said “how can you not like anything”. First he misunderstood and said Malai Kofta is not supposed to have Dal to which we explained that it tastes like Dal! The worst $33 spent literally for a glass of coke and Naan bc we had hardly 3-5 bites out of food!! But the owner didn’t have the courtesy to apologize or even listen to our honest opinion. So you know what happens? We write our review so that we can spare someone else from wasting...
Read moreFirst off, if you’re a real Indian, you’ll know what good food is, otherwise you’ll probably be happy enjoying your dinner. How could you mess up the most loved and popular dish across the nation and worldwide, damn Butter Chicken, Chicken Biryani, and Lamb Curry. Butter Chicken was pure yuck as if no someone decided to throw chicken on the pan without defrosting chicken. Also, you get that awful taste when meat isn’t seasoned well, and I know y’all already hate the sound of that. Chicken Biryani, oh my, what the actual flip am I being served, half colored yellow rice with chicken that taste like it was made 3 days ago with absolutely zero taste. Lamb curry looks pure garbage, unappealing and especially unappetizing. Have the decency to actually have good tasting food advertising that it is a high end restaurant based on the receipt of a price not worth paying for, about $100 before I got a decency for $23 off so about $80. Yo why am I being served $6.99 India tea(milk tea) that is 6 stupid oz., might as well go to Starbucks for their decent quantity for price. Mango lassi is same story, nothing different from milk tea. My my my, after coming here for 10 years, this one day really threw me off with pure stinginess and shows what people do to only get money off of stupid perceptions of what we call “Indian food.” Ima end off with, if you’re an Indian, you don’t wanna waste your money here, because yk what you’re coming for and you’re most definitely not getting what you want.
I appreciate all the servers an all, yet it doesn’t make up for my experience. I would’ve taken pictures but I really wanted to go home rather than becoming a food photographer in a restaurant full of...
Read moreI've eaten at all kinds of Indian restaurants and I chose this place simply because it was in walking distance of my hotel. I wasn't expecting such good food! I'm vegan and their vegan selection is incredible (33 entree choices). I had aloo tikki, aloo cholle, rice with cumin seeds, and garlic chili roti. Everything was top tier. Prices are on the higher side, but portions are huge (I'm going to get 3 meals out of this). Service was exceptional. A real gem.
Everything tasted so fresh. The chili chutney tasted like it had just hopped out of the garden. The spices on the aloo cholle were perfect. And if you like spicy, they got you. My server saw me digging into my food, which was spicy, and asked if I wanted extra hot sauce. He then brought me a saucer of this amazingly intense hot sauce to add -- it was awesome.
I can't stress enough how flavorful and fresh everything was. The menu says to be patient while stuff is cooked...but I've seen lots of menus say that and not live up to it. Here, the wait was very reasonable, but everything was obviously freshly purchased and cooked.
I don't live here, but if I did I would be...
