I stayed here for business from 12/4 to 12/24. It was a disaster from the start. I came with a group of about 15 others, each in our own rooms of course. When we arrived for check in, most of us had to wait hours to get a room. The first night, one of the girls in the group was robbed most likely by a cleaning lady, since there was no forced entry. Everything she brought with her was taken. The hotel refused to help her unless she could provide receipts for everything she had ( who keeps receipts and travels with them for clothes they bought 2 or more years ago). Every single night, one of us had some type of incident, and if it wasn't someone trying to break in, knocking on our doors, etc, it was people screaming outside, partying late, domestic violence, etc. Every single day there were police officers here for some incident. My personal problem was one of my last nights here. At about 2:30 in the morning there was a large group outside partying at the grill area ( my room overlooked this area) that woke me up with loud music, yelling, tables getting knocked around. I tried calling the front desk to ask if they could please tell them to atleast lower the volume. I couldn't get thru for a 1/2 hour, and on the phone with my husband, he could hear all of the noise thru the phone. He called for me, was able to get thru to the front desk, and Francesca promised she would send out security. By this time I'm wide awake so I watched out my patio door to see if security showed up. They never did. So I spent the next HOUR AND A HALF trying to reach the front desk with the room phone and my personal phone. It was either they took the phone off the hook, put it on silent, or just blatantly disregarded it ringing. I was finally able to reach someone thru the Marriott app. At 440 she told me security had been sent out and the party left, as I am physically standing there watching them still party. I was told by her the manager would be in at 11am the following morning. When I went to speak to them, they weren't there. I was then told 2pm. I went in at 3pm and was told he was making rounds around the complex. I had to walk around until I found him. He was very polite and understanding and I felt we had a good calm conversation. My biggest concern was if they have 24/7 security who walks around the complex all night, how did this party go unnoticed for 2 hours? However, with all of the break ins, and fighting going on during my stay, it was pretty concerning that I couldn't reach anyone for 2 hours. Thankfully it wasn't something that was more urgent. Forget the dirt, worn furniture, nasty stains, pass this place by because of the theft and lack of accountability on Marriott's end. Also, I opened what I thought was a closet in my bathroom. Turns out it was the furnace. I know I shouldn't have been able to open that door, but I could because there was a key snapped off in the lock. The entire furnace was caked in dust. Now I know why my allergies flared up so bad. Stricker plate on my door was damaged from what I assume was a break in at some point. Also stayed here this time last year with the same problem, cars get stolen, just steer clear of this place. Also, the manager promised to give me 10k extra points for my troubles. I had now been almost 2 weeks since I checked out, I haven’t received these points. Do not...

I would 100% recommend NOT staying here. The beds are completely disgusting and carpets will leave you feet black everything is wore down/broken and there will be cops outside every day and every night
Hello everyone, I'm in California for a business trip for just under a month and the company I work for has contracts with Marriott and my company has placed us at this specific residents inn Marriott for YEARS. I flew here December 4th and got to the hotel and placed my belongings in my room, at 8:30pm I had left to go get some food I then had returned and was in my room at 10:47 and realized that ALL of my belongings were stolen out of my room, I went to the lobby and they couldn't help me at the time or get in contacted with their manager until the morning so l then also contacted the police and they also weren't any help and said I could not make a police report because they do not have a suspect and gave me a case number. -during this time I went into the lobby both security guards were sitting on their phones and not doing what they are supposed to do, which is walk around and make sure that the place is secured, after this I then returned to my hotel room, collected my thoughts and gathered the food that I had bought for my time being in California. I returned to the lobby because the police recommended me switching rooms I did not get any help transferring my things to my next room and this was at 2 AM the room that they had placed in and it was completely disgusting. The sheets were dirty. There was trash on the floor hair in the bathroom and much more, I then had to wait for them to place me into another room because they didn't have any clean rooms which took about 10 hours for them to give me another DIRTY room and then I FINALLY got a clean room. After all this I was finally able to meet and sit down with the manager, he did not show me the cameras or the times for the keycard used on my room -which I was told they would provide those to me I gave him my incident report for the hotel a copy of my list of almost everything that was stolen from me and my case number and he said within 3-5 days I would hear back from the company and insurance which I have still not heard I'm currently still staying at this hotel and l've had to call the front desk to send security out because of people randomly knocking on my door in the middle of the night, there has been more break ins cops are here every single day and much more! I would 100% not choose this...
Read moreThis is my 4th time staying at this hotel for anime convention related reasons. The convention center is literally across the street.
Sadly over the course of my stays over the years, certain aspects of this hotel have decreased in quality. Usually my group of friends love staying here and get excited about certain things, namely the free breakfast buffet, spacious loft suite rooms, and the jacuzzi.
To begin, the jacuzzi was out of order but the pool was still open. Disappointing. My friends and i had been looking forward to the jacuzzi for months. We had to settle for dipping our feet in hot water in the tubs in our rooms.
Secondly, they now charge $17 a day for parking. Considering the high cost rates of this hotel, it should be free for guests. Also it doesnt matter if you check-in ahead of time online and sign up for the $7 per day parking, they still charge you the $17 AND you have to fight to have the $7 parking per day fee you signed up ahead for online. What???
Thirdly, the rooms often smell like sewage if housekeeping doesnt run the dishwasher ahead of time. Twice now our rooms were plagued by sewage smells and we found out it was because of dirty water sitting at the bottom of the dishwasher for days. We had to figure out how to run it ourselves to get rid of the horrid smell.
And finally, the breakfast buffet. Staff failed to keep up with guest demand for breakfast all 4 days of our stay. In the past they were able to serve the same amount of people in a timely manner. They also served better options. They got lazy this time around and served prepackaged breakfast croissant sandwiches that were steamed in bags yet were still frozen in the middle. Staff failed to put out signs limiting guests to only one or two at a time. Some guests would rush the line to get 5 or 6 breakfast sandwiches to take back to their rooms. So there was always a line of 10+ people waiting 30+ minutes for refills on the breakfast sandwiches. The sausage patties were not refilled in a timely manner. The scrambled eggs were not refilled in a timely manner. The yogurt cups or bagels were not refilled almost at all. They refilled those maybe twice during the entire breakfast hours. In the past, this breakfast buffet was a dream. It became a nightmare. We almost considered walking down the street to the Denny's instead by the 3rd day.
What happened to this hotel? It used to be my favorite. I feel like i let my friends down and embarrassed myself from how much i hype it up. Cant justify its pricing anymore for the current services and quality.
Makes me so sad. I loved...
