Warning, this place could become an addiction real quick.
A friend and me jumped over to Bidding Kings after we played with her little tyke at the Funtastic Play Center in the same parking lot. The adults were ready for some greedy adult play (bargain shopping!!).
Our eyes were popping out at the deals we saw. It's huge, like a Disneyland of sorts, for deal shoppers. I was impressed.
I filled a cart full of garden supplies real quick and found some supplies for my staple gun. We picked out a cute pair of sneakers for the little one before we maxed out our budget for the day.
That's the thing, horde shopping at Bidding Kings is enticing and fun, but things do ad up eventually. :)
I had a question about cushions for lawn furniture. It turns out they didn't have much of a supply today, but they did take the time to listen carefully to what we needed and described some similar products that they have seen pass through the store over the past year. The supervisor/manager was polite to her coworker and very customer focused (refreshing).
You won't know exactly what you'll find at this store when you come, but whatever you do find will be a great deal compared to regular retail. The store is well kept, the isles are clear and the feel is spacious. It takes an easy twenty minutes or so to make your way around the place.
An easy five stars;...
Read moreIn store is well organized. While you may find deals, it's somewhat rare. Always price check with other stores before purchasing. No warranty on items, obviously. We've purchased outdoor furniture before and you just have to be careful to look it over well (ie, one of the arms was bent in the box, which we looked at before purchase, but didn't notice this issue until we got home, thankfully we were able to mostly fix it). In store clothing is probably the best part about this store, but a lot of it is just ok/styles you may not want.
The bidding site can be very hit or miss. There's a 15% fee on anything you purchased (not including tax). I've seen MANY items sell for over the cost you'd pay at typical stores after this fee, which is funny to me. So, be careful you understand what you're doing and, remember, no warranty and a chance something you buy is broke or missing parts. We've purchased several things from the site over the years, but, again, mostly misses with a few hits...
Read moreI won an item for the auction that ended December 17, which I picked up on Friday, December 20. After getting the item home and beginning to assemble (a sideboard table) I quickly realized that this should have been a 2 box set. All instructions, hardware, and several other pieces were in a 2nd box somewhere. I returned to the store on Monday December 23 hoping to retrieve the 2nd box and was told there was no second box. Having purchased plenty of items from them previously, I am very aware that items that are incomplete, missing parts, or salvage are listed as such. My item was listed as 'factory sealed.' I immediately emailed the address they provided and requested assistance. After no response, I emailed again on 12/31. After no response, I emailed again on January 7. Still no response. What I viewed as an easy, honest mistake on their part that could have easily been rectified through store credit has been completely ignored. Buyer...
