Aldi officially lost my family and I as customers this evening. I am absolutely disgusted by their customer service. It is awful. In the past, I don't go into Aldi very often, but when I do, I stock up. I had a bunch of returns to do. Tonight, I went back to get some Organic milk. There was one half gallon container there and another whole box behind it, but the box was all the way in the back and was stuck on the shelf and not sliding down. The one container expired in 3 days, while the box behind it expired in about a month. I found a Aldi employee and asked him if he could please go back and push the box down so I could grab some. He said no. He said I would have to purchase the one that expired soon, because customers have to buy products that expire the soonest and not one with a later date. Really?!?!? So I passed on the milk. Then, I went up to check out and do my returns. The cashier (Allyssa) said that their "Twice as Nice Guarantee" is only good on one item, even though I was returning multiple items. She said that term was stated on their website. I asked to speak to the manager (Matt) and ironically it was the same man who wouldn't let me purchase the milk with the later expiration date. He agreed with her and said that rule came from their Corporate office. So I pulled up the website and it states nothing of that sort. NOTHING! I showed him and he said, well maybe they haven't updated it. That's ridiculous! It's called a "Twice as Nice Guarantee" with no term along the lines of what they stated. So much for a "Guarantee" when they don't stand behind it. If you have some returns, return them one at a time, or they won't stand behind their...
Read moreI love ALDI's. They have the best prices, good products, a variety of different foods, good produce, the stores are usually very clean, they offer foods that other stores don't, they have a good brand, naturals, that has foods suitable for people with allergies, a really nice gluten free section with bread, bagels, snacks, pasta, boxed mixes, tortillas, energy bars, Mac and cheese, etc. They also offer a wide variety of seasonal products, edibles and non edibles, so it pays to walk down those aisles at least once a week to see what they have. Many items are on sale too, so I've saved a lot of money on good quality products. If you like something, you better get it while it's still available, though, because it is first come, first served, and unless you get lucky and they get another shipment, they might not have the same thing when you return. I have shopped ALDI's everywhere in Ohio I've lived. They are my first choice for...
Read moreIt's my regular grocery store with great options of organic foods with cheaper price tags than Walmart. It's a German grocery store that was introduced by my Greek friend. You use your own grocery bag, 25cent for a cart, which you will get once you bring it back to main cart area, they don't take their stock out of boxes which require only two-three staff at the entries store, reason that they can offer a great quality of product with low price. They carry many European products, wines, cheeses and chocolate. Their organic dozen eggs are less than $3, cheaper than regular eggs at other grocery stores. The only downside of it is that it is small and you won't get all you need at this store as one stop shopping but I found ways to manage all my groceries here at ALDI. I love their business model and they treat their employees much better...
