I can't thank sales associate Toni Gauger enough for her kindness and outstanding customer service skills.. I have a formal wedding on July 6 for one of my family members. This wedding is a very special event not only for the couple, but for our entire family. We have a large family and family members from out of State will be attending. I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer several years ago and due to the surgery and chemo and recovery I put on 50 pounds. I started to feel better and exercise and then covid happened. I have struggled with weight gain going from being able to wear anything to no confidence and dreading having to go anywhere I have to dress up. Although I'm very excited about this wedding I was dreading finding something to wear and feel good about myself. I went to several stores and just cried because I couldn't find anything. I remember for my cancer fundraiser I bought my dress from David's Bridal, so I decided to go there today after work. I picked out a few dresses not happy with the way they fit I felt fat. There was this lovely young lady helping me zip up the dresses and while she was helping me I told her my story and how nothing fits because of my stomach. She asked if she could pick out some dresses for me and I agreed. She came back with three dresses and all three fit perfectly and exactly what I was looking for. I picked out eight dresses that just didn't work or make me feel good. This young lady spent time with me listened to what I was unhappy about my body and she knew exactly what would be a wonderful fit for my body. I was so happy and feel beautiful in the dress and thanks to Toni Gauger the sales associate who is customer focused on their needs I will walk into the wedding venue smiling and feeling beautiful about myself! They went out of their way to call me and invite me back in to the store fix things for me because of my previously bad experience. The assistant manager Naomi spent about an hour with me giving me options to add to the original dress I had found (I wanted sleeves or straps) She then put me in a similar dress and immediately I knew it was my dress! I felt so good in it! I really didnt expect to find my dress here after how my first appointment went but Naomi and the sales reps were so helpful and took the time to hear my needs. I ordered my dress and can honestly say I am now so excited! I can understand that my first visit may have been an off day or not the best rep....but regardless they made it up to me ten fold and I sincerely appreciate all that they did. Now I can recommend this location and be excited for my dress to come in!! Thank you!
Previous review: It was so horrible. The staff are basically regular retail workers and have zero wedding experience. They didn't help me find something that fit or felt nice. We had to ask for clips and when finally thought I had found an option but would need off the shoulder straps added, the seamstress was basically telling me it can be done but not really and she wouldn't have time to order fabric. With the amount of fabric that would be removed for hem there would have been plenty but overall I had the feeling my business wasn't wanted. It was honestly my nightmare. She was professional and organized and a wonderful listener. They did not havve the dress we pickfd in my size, so she assured me I would be able to try it in when it arrived and that they could arrange for alterations. I told her I was off on Mondays and she said that was perfect because alterations team was there on Mondays. Unfortunately the good experience was cut short in my next interaction.
Its been months so I have been calling bi- weekly to check in, as of the end of May 18th they had not received the dress yet, but assured me that it should arrive no later than May 30th. The end of May and beginning of June were busy with the end of the school year and family vacation. Today I received a call from Georgina who said they were shipping the dress because I never showed up to get it, with an abundance of attitude. I said, "Oh this is the first call I have gotten, but the dress was not in stock in my size so I have never tried one on in the size ordered and was told by the person I felt with yhat I can come in to make sure and decide if alterations were needed". Georgina then informed me that it was too late because the dress had been there already for over 2 weeks and it was being shipped, if I wanted to bring it back for alterations I could schedule that at a later time.
