Ming Moon — Restaurant in Oregon

Tried this place for the first time tonight, after finding they had opened back up during the covid shutdowns. It's hard to find GOOD Chinese right now. All our favorite places are closed. We tried to order from this place about a month ago, but they were also closed. This guy built a temporary wall just inside the door to protect everyone, complete with a food pass thru counter with window.

We ordered chicken fried rice, 12 egg rolls, abc, sweet and sour chicken, and general tso chicken. We got a grocery bag full of food for only $42. Our favorite place would have totalled about $58 for that same order. The only item I found missing was the sweet and sour sauce. We just used the ample duck sauce in place. This place was swamped. I wasn't going to go back and ask for it. I called ahead at home, one of the lucky ones to actually get through, and waited an hour for a half hour estimate. The egg rolls were on the sweet side, but otherwise we loved it.

Disappointing and disgusting! I ordered from Ming Moon tonight rather than ordering from Golden Jade. What a mistake. The chicken in the Hunan Chicken was "foul" (no pun intended) and the sweet and sour chicken was tasteless (obviously frozen) and the egg rolls (frozen)were "undercooked" and tasted and smelled rotten. In addition, the "waiting room" where you are to pay and receive your order made me feel like I was ordering from a prison. Dirty and unprofessional (red flag). It's likely they were/are short staffed, but that is not an excuse to serve rotten or spoiled food. I'm sure it doesn't end there. Never again. The hidden gem of Oregon with the best Chinese food in town. The inside may look like a typical Chinese joint, but the place is nothing typical at all. The service is very friendly like any local business which has free water and hot tea if you're dining in and the food quantity is plentiful; you'll never leave hungry here plus the food tastes hot and wonderful, the food even pleased my wife who only loves certain places that do sweet and sour chicken, it became her place.
