This is a target I always come to as it’s 5 minutes from my house. Every time I come it’s always a greet from the security person, I shop in peace, and then small interactions with the self checkout team members. My experience today is an experience I do have every single time that I come to do an exchange/return but today happened to be different that resulted with me in tears, a headache, & anxiety. My issue is Todd the older gentleman who also happens to be a manager. EVERY single time I come here to do a return or an exchange, he always has such a sour attitude & personality. The kind of attitude that makes you anxious because you feel like you’re an inconvenience as he does the bare minimum and doesn’t like when his job becomes complicating or if he has to wait on you. It’s the attitude that makes you want someone else to come and help you. A week ago, my fiancé went out and got an ocedar mop head that was the wrong one. Today on a whim heading back to the house, we decided to come to target to exchange the mop head for laundry items, Todd of course had the same attitude that he always had while helping us. After 30 minutes, I had came back to return the product as I didn’t like the quality and a febreze refill (that my fiancé got, but I didn’t like the smell) so I didn’t have to come back to target again, I was technically exchanging with a new refill. I arrive without him just to find out my fiancé kept the receipt in his pocket, usually target allows you to make a return without the receipt which results in you only getting a gift card. Here I see Todd again, already nervous with what I was getting myself into, I tell him the entire situation of what I was doing and the receipt, then he states in order to get a gift card I need to show him my ID?? Makes no sense but I wasn’t going to make a fuss about it, so i paused to think, and he looks at me and mentions that I can use the card that was used, I insert the card, didn’t work because it was Apple Pay that was used, I go to use Apple Pay, for my phone to say I needed verification to call my bank. I didn’t want to be there anymore so I stated never mind I’m not even going to return this anymore, I’m going to just return the febreze refill. He sees I’m on my phone to pull up the receipt on the mobile app for him to look at me and go with an impatient sour tone, “are you going to show me the receipt???” I stated, “yes I am” with a stern tone as I genuinely was fed up at that point with him making me feel how I did, once I say that and because I’m not directly looking at him, he gives me the dirtiest look, all because I finally said with a stern tone and not with my positive attitude I had in the beginning. After that we went into a small argument after I asked if he really just looked at me like how he did as I didn’t appreciate it when I have been nothing but calm and respectful to this man in every interaction we have. This may seem really tedious & stupid but it’s been such a constant build up with Todd that I still don’t understand how he’s a manager out of all, and if you do not like your job, why are you there? As just because you don’t like your job doesn’t mean you can treat people how he does. He didn’t even care to help me with what I had left that he knew about, he didn’t even ask me how I wanted my refund, and because I didn’t want to make an issue I walked away, tried to hold my emotions in, just for it to all burst out. I asked an employee for Todds name and instead he brought out this super sweet and caring woman named AL who is a manager, she talked to me, heard me out, de-escalated my crying, calmed my nerves, and helped me with my return I was trying to make that Todd didn’t care to help me with all while having a soothing patient attitude. She is the example that should be displayed for everyone to see on how customer service is and how a leader is supposed to be. Kind, helpful, and understanding to a situation. Thank you Al for making up for the experience that I had as you were my Angel I needed in that moment of emotions I...
Read moreLet’s talk about the Target in the SODO Shopping Center. First off, the store itself is clean and well-organized, and the staff are polite and helpful when you need them. But when it comes to the grocery and produce section? That’s where things get tricky.
While they had an ample selection of food and grocery items on the shelves, the quality of the produce wasn’t great. Some items looked like they’d been sitting out for too long, and that’s not ideal when you’re shopping for fresh food. On top of that, many of the specific items customers requested just weren’t in stock. This creates significant challenges—not just for the customers but also for shoppers like me who rely on completing orders accurately and efficiently.
Here’s the thing: third-party applications and services like Shipt, which contract with Target, really need to address this issue by implementing better inventory checks before assigning orders to this store. If a location is low on inventory or doesn’t have the capacity to fulfill a customer’s order, the system should prevent the order from being assigned there in the first place. It’s frustrating for everyone involved when I’m assigned to shop for items that simply aren’t available. It wastes time, causes unnecessary stress for the customer, and reflects poorly on the store—even when it’s not entirely their fault.
That said, the staff at this location were understanding and tried their best to help when I brought up the inventory issues, which I appreciated. However, there’s definitely room for improvement in how the grocery section is managed—both in ensuring freshness and maintaining adequate stock levels.
Overall, while this Target location has its strong points, the experience could be much smoother if inventory and item availability were more accurately reflected and communicated upfront. It would save time and frustration for everyone involved—customers, shoppers, and the store itself. Here’s hoping these improvements are made because Target generally sets a much higher standard, and this location has the potential to...
Read moreI will say this the first time i have ever been treated so poorly. I order an item online for a party a week ago. I call three days in a row about my item. Mind you I made sure to ask about my product. There were times i was treat beyond poorly by the employees over the phone. I was placed on hold for 5 min at a time, at one point i was even hung up on. Then the last time i called a lady answer then phone asking my about a something and going on about a watch. When she finally let me say i wasnt the customer that was hold for the watch. She was rude and said" well your gonna have to wait till im done with this lady and her impossible watch". That was yesterday. I call today cause i due to pick up my order yesterday. When i called today i was told my order was cancelled. It had not been 24 hr and it was at 3:41am. Dont know that is possible of the store is closed. I tell you if it was for brian and his help i would never have gone to that location and double spend if i didnt need it that bad. I was hoping when i got there he would be there. But he was at lunch. I was so over the fact that when i asked for himl, The other employee walking heard me asking for brian, and told the lady in guest service it behing the back on hold. She made a comment what does that mean. Like this was alll around the worst experience of my life. The store manager really need have several conversation with the employees about phone manner, and customer serivce. And to top it all off. I went to see if they had something else i needed since i was already. As i was walking by an male employee was putting something on self and this man has his underwear and butt all out. This a place of business. Target need to get it together they have lost my...
