Good selection BUT be very VERY wary when buying anything with the red clearance stickers. This store places the stickers directly on top of the original stickers so that there’s no way of knowing what the original price was. I bought several items on clearance and when I got home and peeled off those stickers I discovered that the original price was actually lower than their “clearance” prices. Other TJMaxx, HomeGoods and Marshall’s will place their stickers loosely on top of the original price or overlapping so that you can still see the original price. But this is the one store that really sticks them on top firmly so it’s nearly impossible to discover the original price. Under MA 93A law, this is clearly false and deceptive trade practices. While this store does have a good selection I find it unconscionable to shop at stores that carry out such deceptive practices. The reason for my 2 star rating as opposed to 1 is that this store does not push their customers out the door. HomeGoods in Hyannis will start making closing announcements far in advance of closing and will continue to do it every 5 minutes making the customer feel rushed and unwanted. This store actually allows you to shop 1/2 hour before closing without...
Read moreReally sad to have such a negative experience with the staff person Kristina, who was very rude about my gently brushing against her in a very narrow aisle (she shouted “ow ow ow” to which I profusely apologized. I pointed out the very narrow aisles were difficult to navigate and would be for someone is a wheelchair as well (the store is certainly not ADA compliant in this regard)and turned the corner-however my young adult daughter was behind me and saw her sneering and scowling at me and laughing sarcastically, I saw it as well as I doubled back for my daughter. I certainly understand that it’s the holiday season and a time of tremendous stress but an attempt to curtail open contempt might be advisable. I was polite and apologetic and do not feel her reaction matched the very slight inadvertent brush...
Read moreEmployees implied I am a thief?..Getting ready for a trip, I spent over $400 here in the first week of September. Not all items fit so brought back 4. One item was missing a price tag which was actually in a shopping bag, but no one saw it. They did a price match and took a $30 skew of the receipt. I spent another $100. I brought back a $30 item, 3 weeks later. The receipt read the item as returned, which it wasn’t. A manager came and said the item was already returned but they will “allow” me to keep the item, I am “welcome to wear the item,” but I won’t get a refund. Well, thank you for allowing me to wear the item! This is both sad and comical. I will continue spending thousands here and hope for the day when robots replace humans entirely in...
