Just spoke to Jenna, the store manager, after my 86 year old uncle spent $780 there an hour ago, getting bedding, bath rugs, towels, kitchen items, pillows, cleaning supplies, paper goods, and a few groceries. All of my items were not present and accounted for, when I unpacked my bags! As you can imagine, as the checker was ringing the items up, I was attempting to situate everything in one basket. The checker was friendly, but was talking more than paying attention to what she was doing obviously, and I was her last customer before her break, she said. I'm on vacation from Arizona, trying to help my uncle, and enjoying time with him, who lives at the Lake of the Ozarks, Mo. He lives 20 minutes away from the Osage Beach Target. I was excited to get everything in and unpacked, and done for him tonight, so when he wakes up in the morning, he would be surprised with all of the new items for his bathroom, extra bedroom, and kitchen put in place. I called SEVEN times before I got someone to answer the target main phone number! Electronics finally picked up and connected me to the manager, Jenna. I explained to her that I was on vacation with just a couple of days left before I leave, and the amount of money I just spent there. The next two days at my uncle's are packed with other plans, not having to do things I've already done, going back again, to pick up things that should have been given to me while checking out. The manager said "It happens all the time, people leaving things behind." Maybe y'all should do something about it, if it happens all the time??? Attention to detail...... I don't have time for a 40-minute round trip there and back to pick up things that the checker should have given me. I looked back twice in the surrounding area where I checked out, and where everything else had been packed in bags, the belt and bagging area to make sure I got everything. The only thing I can think of, is that she maybe had it behind the counter, to make room for the other bags.
When I called, I asked the "manager" if I could please have someone deliver it to my uncle's home. Maybe Uber it to me. She rudely explained to me that the items were at customer service, when I described what I was missing, and I could come get them in the morning, as they would be closing soon. I told her in a civil tone, that was not acceptable and she said the only "other option" is to come back in the morning when they open, and told me it was my fault for leaving the items that were not in sight, which I paid for !!!!! Wow!! Wait a minute, that's not another option, it's the same option! I'm an easy going person, and rarely write negative reviews. This Target location management needs to learn what customer service is all about. I enjoy writing positive reviews, this is certainly not one of them, nor do I enjoy writing this, but would it be too much to ask to see improvement in the Management's attitude, attention to detail with checkers, along with, I'll say it again, customer service? In addition, while I was shopping at Target, there were three employees just standing there talking, I walked by, quite obviously trying to locate an item, and no one even asked me if they could assist me. Hello.....customer service please!!! Walmart has basically the same things I was shopping for, at a lower price. I wish I would have gone there! I...
Read moreTonight when me and my wife went to get a new phone case we arrived at 8:50pm, and still had ten minutes before the store closed at 9:00pm. When we walked through the doors we were stopped by a blonde woman named Jenna who claimed to be the manager.
Jenna told us that " they were closing the store and shutting down already" , and made it very clear that our presence was an inconvenience to her. My wife then asked "are you closing early?" because it was still ten minutes before 9:00pm?
Jenna then looked even more disturbed and my wife asked "can we can grab the one item we came for very quickly?" and JENNA responded RUDELY by saying "QUICKLY!"
I would also like to add that Jenna didn't even dress as if she worked there, and my wife had to ask if she even works there....
So when we made it back to the front of the store we decided not to buy anything due to the looks of annoyance and rude service we received. But overheard Jenna and the clerks laughing at someone trying to walk through the doors at 8:56pm... she said YEAH NOOO WERE DONE FOR THE NIGHT while laughing at the customers...
When we made it up to her she asked "did you find everything alright?" and my wife said "no we didn't, But would you mind telling me your name?" And she replied "I'm Jenna the manager..." She could clearly tell she messed up and upset us when we asked for her name after what happened next...
Me and my wife said "ok thank you" after receiving her name and after we were already out of the door walking away she proceeded to say " WE CLOSE AT 9:00PM!"
To which my wife replied "yeah there is still 3 minutes left!" Jenna then replied "BUT YOU WERE STILL ABLE TO SHOP HERE!!!" To which I said "yes we were but you rushed us and were very rude!!!"
Very poor management choice in Jenna! She sets it as an ok example to rush customers, and laugh at them with...
Read moreI have brought my service dog into many stores, including several Target locations without issue. Today was the exception. I was approached by a security guard minutes after I had walked in and was asked if my dog was a service animal. I replied yes, and was told "Someone reported that she was pulling." And the security guard walked away. I grabbed the items I needed and made my way to the registers where I noticed the same security guard and another woman staring at me the entire time. I moved into a shorter lane and they followed. As I was leaving the woman approached me, never identified herself, and stated "I'm going to ask you don't bring her back in until she's trained." My service animal was never out of control, never showed signs of aggression, and barked once when someone got too close to us. I have never had an issue with my service animal until this moment, and could not be more upset over the way we were treated. I'll drive 40 minutes to the Jefferson City location before I step foot into this...
