Bought a "new" Switch game from the store but they did not have a sealed copy. Gave me a box with the game and charged me for a new game. Never played the game and found out via YouTube the game does not run well on Switch. Went to return the game and get my credit back and get something else. The clerk said he could return it for $36 when I paid $60. I asked why since it was never played. He said the previous clerk should have put some sticker on it to show it as "sealed" and he could tell there was no residue of a previous sticker. I was told basically I can take the $36 for the game or just keep the game. I basically lost $24 on my purchase since the previous clerk "out of it" the day I bought this game. This was my first experience getting a "floor model" game and got screwed by it especially since you know they will put back out as a new game and charge full price even though it is a "trade in" their terminology. I would not recommend shopping at this store and if you do make sure the staff are accountable and do their jobs and do not get a "new" floor model. It was disappointing since I have been shopping here since the xbox 360 days and this was the place to go but now I will not be returning to...
Read moreLove this Gamestop. Every time I come in here the staff is fantastic and always is willing to help me find what I need. I am not a game collector so I like that I can trade my games in. Typically I could probably get more if I resold it and if its a new game usually I will beat it and sell it for cash since I get more than store credit but sometimes they give bonus % when you trade towards a new game so I take advantage of that when I can. The "midnight" release parties are always great and never that crowded so you can get in and back home to playing even if you show up right before release which is typically done at 9PM now. This is not one of the largest Gamestops but they do have a good selection of games for many different systems. The used game selection is usually the largest and you can always find something reasonably priced that you havent played before. It might not be a good game but it will be cheap...
Read more(edit again...) New employees make this place extremely unpleasant. It smells really bad in the store and it's super messy. I used to love it here but one of the new employees talks nonstop bad things about other customers in front of people and talks about not letting people in the store up to two hours before they close. Not welcoming. Every time I see him I just turn around and leave. They used to have really nice people working, I think I'll just come in on weekends when they're here instead. At least the weekend employees genuinely love games and being kind. (edit) So maybe don't tell customers you're gonna have a midnight release when you aren't. Staying up until eleven on my day off isn't really awesome. Especially for no reason. I even triple checked with the cashier when I pre-ordered yesterday. Me and two other people preordered at the word of the cashier saying their would be an 11 pm release...
