I shopped at House of Miri 2 weeks ago, searching for a dress for my graduation pictures. The employee who helped me was kind and helpful, as I tried on 3 dresses. I didnât love them but I was interested in one but worried about the length and fit. After seeing my hesitation, she mentioned that I could purchase it and try it on at home with my heels and bring it back if I donât love it. I agreed and bought the dress just before closing. I ended up needing to return it because it wasnât a good fit for the look I want for graduation and itâs much shorter than I prefer. The lady who helped me with my âreturnâ was so rude. I explained the situation and she rudely replied âwe never do returnsâ and âthats never the policyâ, which I understand but didnât warrant her unprofessional response. Even after processing the transaction she proceeded to follow me around the store, which is completely inappropriate and made me feel uncomfortable as a black woman. She was overwhelmingly unhelpful and had her demeanor and attitude were unprofessional. I will never shop here again and would also ask others to reconsider where they spend their money. Please know it wasnât about the refund, but more so how the employee responded and communicated with me. Customer service training would work wonders for her attitude.
EDIT:: As I stated in my original review, I felt h comfort and as if the associate was following me around. In reviewing your footage, you wouldâve noticed the associate standing diagonal from me as I walked around the store. Please note that I did walk around the store to see if there was something that interested me. To say I was yelling and using inappropriate language is a lie and character defamation. I was upset, but I donât conduct myself that way. Also, the owner may be a minority but the associate I worked with was a white woman. As stated in my review, I didnât expect her to dishonor the policy but the manner it was communicated was rude, considering I was given incorrect information. It shows lack of mental and social awareness to have someone waste their time. Such behavior reflects poorly on your professionalism and raises concerns about your reliability as a business owner.

During our talk I mentioned for a brief second I looked at your social media and you then asked ME what my honest opinion was and how you then wrote everything I said down on your computer so you could get ideas for what to work on and then randomly told me that you were going to fire your current marketing agency as they weren't doing a good job, which I then mentioned if you aren't satisfied with them are you open to freelance and you said yes. "Let's schedule a meeting and you can show me your presentation."
