The JCPenney hair salon in Oak Park Mall in Kansas City Kansas is the worst salon ever. I never had a bad experience at any salon as the one I had last weekend. I had appointment with Ellie Landrith the past Sunday 9/9/2018 for an up do as I was invited to a wedding. The u pdo i wonted is a half of my hair up and the rest is down and curled by a flat iron or a wand. I asked her to not add too much hair spray as I wanted my hair to look natural.
I showed her a video and two deferent photos and asked her which style she is more confident to do because I liked both. She asked me that she can do anyone and I should pick the one I prefer.
She started curling my hair with the the wand and added too much hair spray that my hair got very stiff. She did not know how to style the strands around my face so I offered to help her with that. I gave her a hair bandana to add and she just placed it on top of my head. Any bobby-pins she puts to my hair she dig them into my scalp. At the end she asked me what do I think, and it was leterly a disaster on top of my head as all curls sticking at all directions and so stiff that I can’t move them around. I told her this is not what I asked for or in the picture and the curlers looks so stiff. She told me “ the hair in the picture is not your hair”. Also, she told me that I don’t need to panic as she was not done yet. And then she started to work on the courts using her wand again to make it even looking wors.
I asked her to stop and wash my hair as we are going nowhere with here awful skills. She asked me “ you don’t like it ?” I told her no and please wash it as I had a makeup appointment emediatly after that. She told me that she will charge me extra if I insist. I told her that I can pay extra, however I won’t leave the salon with that hair mess. She talked with her manager and came back telling me that she won’t charge me extra. She washed my hair and blow dried it so rufly that I thought I will lose my hair with her pulling and yanking using her brush. I paid $55 for nothing as I left with my hair blow dried just as I came in. This salon and Ellie Landrith donot disurve any stars, not even one.
Please don’t go...
Read moreIm pretty much done with this store one I get my ring back. They have the worst customer service minus a few new workers. Im not sure what management is doing. List of problems 1) ordered a ring in store- paid for it in the store, waited almost three months for me to find out by calling them myself that the ring isnt coming because the debit didnt go through. (This is the only store that rejects a debit days and weeks later) I asked simply "so why didn't you call me and tell me?" There excuse was blaming it on the holidays. 2) while waiting for the ring (oblivious) I took my fiance in shopping with me and he really liked a leather jacket. So a few weeks before christmas (horrible idea) I called them and asked if they could look for it on the phone since I worked crazy ours at the time and couldnt get from north KC to OP in less then 20 minutes. The first lady who tried to help asked "may I help you" , I explained the situation and asked her nicely if she could look for it for me. " I cant look for anything without the name brand of the item" " at this point i had gone back and forth with her explaining that i basically could remember and it was a gift and tried giving the best description, price, and location of the item. Finally she said mam your just ganna have to come in yourself - long story short "I asked her if she actually took a minute from the phone to look for it" (obvious answer was no because she stayed on the phone fighting with me about what I should do and what she wasnt ganna take the time to do). She laughed needless to say and hung up on me. 3) three times a charm- just called them about ten till 9 asked to be transferred to check on the ring ive been trying to pick up from being sized. Was transferred rang and rang for 5 minutes. I hung up called back and the ladg picked up and said they were closed.....smh wow ok thanks jc pennys- for always being the ones to make my day(s) a...
Read moreI recently visited this JCPennys, at oak mall, and had a mixed experience that I feel compelled to share. While the store itself offers a fantastic selection of trendy and quality clothing, I was disappointed with the customer service I received from the cashier. The cashier appeared disinterested and was not helpful during the checkout process. The product I was purchasing would not ring up and she asked if there was more, i informed her i believe there was and we just stared at each other for a moment, and i asked do you want me to go get another one...still no response just a dead stare and an eye roll. Ultimately I just said, don't worry about it ill just pass on the pants and left it at my single purchase, knowing i can just order the same thing online and have it sent to my house.. Their lack of enthusiasm made the overall experience less enjoyable. I believe that excellent customer service is crucial, especially in a retail setting where interactions with staff can greatly impact the overall impression of the store.Despite this unfortunate encounter, the store's wide variety of stylish clothing and the overall ambiance are still reasons why I appreciate JCPennys Clothing. I hope that the management takes note of the importance of positive customer interactions to ensure a more consistent and enjoyable shopping experience for...
