Absolutely hate the culture of this place baffles me to read all these genuine reviews saying such a different experience then mine . Inkive very close which he causes me to go alot I also resell online which requires shopoing everywhere someplaces daily. But personally I've always been treated like a criminal from moment stepped in sometimes having a chaperone every aisle. And honestly ask me how much I've stole from them or any other store 0 on my kids zero. I've had security ask if I wanted to go outside becauee I told him his identical bro worked for me and wouldn't talk like that but it wasn't his brother. Items on mispriced pegs and my chaperone was asked to please be available when checking out so he could inform of mistake and save the 20+ mins they take to prove me wrong and save the 50 cents or 5$ don't matter they go fix the issue and to ell me I was mistaken. Had two associates leave to go work there when opened and for awhile the remained aware of me and would speak but that no longer happens . I went to do return at opening for something daughter needed for school they told me to go get the correct item (even exchange ) upon returning to front I was informed to that service desk doesn't open for another hour I would need to return . No response to me questioning being told to go get as well as asking bout the even exchange no money needed . I don't yjink I ever returned it 2 more then I'll stop ... One time in hustle and chaos me and my 9 year old skipped our favorite process of seeing how wrinkled the money can be and auto take it ...pushed our entire Cart $200+ to truck bout half way through loading realized we didn't pay again HAVE NEVER STOLE ANYTHING FROM THEMwe proudly walked back in to what we thought was thank you instead accused us of changing our minds. Prolly because of member number and we were gonna get ,caught and we were made to stand in the customer service line for 19 mins to pay for our groceries (I can't make this shi up) . Fresh groceries ...for real 3 times ham has been rotten with date way out over 5 times milk and total of at least 8-10 other cold chain process items being bad .somewhere in the chain stuff is getting to hot at first we used to sit on the rexordings to inform not necxassarly for return but as a warning to check the others ...ya we don't even bother anymore . I'm baffled by the total opposite shopping experience y'all have yes better then Walmart but at least u know what ur getting walking in to them. Before u say it's in my head I dunno how many people but possibly doubtbdigits have went with me and some don't make it through others jaw hits ground and just blown away that I wasn't exaggerating not a bit bout the treatment I receive . Long and thing is I'm not saying many other examples . But door greaters usually are friendly and nice there's one manager he's been there since the beginning wish I knew his namequarters you can tell he's on me with some time never made it awkward or harassing or always talks to me so I'll tend to mention that tattoo talk about that sports team he's always don't think you understand how much I appreciate that especially coming from a store that 95% of the people think I'm up to no good every single time I'm in theredo the 18 years or whatever there's been some other good employees but it seems like if they're nice to me they don't work long is also my main man back there stocking soda and stuff like that he's always been spot-on he's a cool dude and he's managed to be cool with me and not get in trouble for it that really wish I had y'all's experience I'd much...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreVery large, nice, clean store. Huge variety of items, several brands to choose from. I was very impressed with those factors. However, as one can expect, the charge accordingly to help pay for that big, beautiful store. Prices are higher than most other stores. Even store brand items are significantly higher. I love the large self-check lanes but my experience with one was my main reason for the low rating. While scanning my items, I received a notification that the conveyer belt was getting crammed and that I needed to clear it in order to proceed. No big deal. However, the message popped up just as I was scanning an item, preventing the item from scanning. I noticed right away and put the item BACK IN MY CART. I cleared the belt, and went to continue checking. Before it would allow me to continue, an alert went off calling an employee to my lane to "help" me. At the same time, the screen changed from my running total to a video playback of me scanning my items. Apparently, when my item didn't scan, it alerted staff of a potential theft. I can honestly see the need for such security but, as I mentioned before, I returned the item to my cart. I did not put it on the belt as if it had been scanned so it should have been a non-issue. You could also clearly see me in the video returning the item to my cart. Nothing came of it, if course, and the employee simply cleared the alert and allowed me to continue. But it was embarrassing. They should have measures in place to be able to tell if the item was put on the belt or not. Of all the items I scanned, the one I had an issue with was a $1.69 Hormel Turkey wrap. Not even a high value item. Especially when compared to some of the other items I purchased. This instance alone will not keep me from returning to the store. I do believe effort should be made to rig their machines/computers to better determine if an actual theft is taking place but, at the same time, I can absolutely understand why stores these days have to have the systems in place. I will probably go back but will put aside the convenience of self-check and go to a casher instead. And any future trips will most likely be for clothing items or shoes (It seems as if they carry slightly better brands than Walmart), not for groceries. I just wasn't at all impressed with their food prices. I can get the same items cheaper elsewhere. All in all, I give it a mediocre 3 stars. I wasn't overly happy with my experience but it wasn't my worst either. *For parents with little ones who watch Peppa Pig and Paw Patrol: They do have a decent stock of Peppa and Paw Patrol toys. They don't have a huge selection but they do have several items I haven't been able to find in...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI love Meijer!! They have a great selection of food so you can usually find what you are looking for. They have the best indoor home plant selection. They always have unique seasonal indoor plants and/or flowers that I buy for hostess/host gifts (and who are we kidding I always end up buying them for myself too) during the holidays. They also have pretty good quality outdoor plants/flowers/herbs too. They always have a pretty good seasonal decoration selection as well. I am one of those weird people that love to decorate for every single holiday and they always have some stuff that I buy to decorate with. They surprisingly carry some fairly high end skin care and hair care products (they used to carry high end fragrances for both men and women but they don't do that anymore), along with your typical drug store products too. I love their housewares and seasonal decor, and I am a HUGE FAN of their jewelry. They carry a large selection of jewelry which even includes body jewelry. They have a lot of sterling silver rings in sizes as little as 4 or 5 up to 9 or 10 that I have purchased over the years. They also have a large candle selection. They carry several brands of candles but I am a Yankee Candle Company fan (it's been my favorite for almost 30 years), and it's not just the candles, but the wax cups, votives, tea lights, plug ins, car freshners, cup and tart burners, and tarts, but they also have a ton of fragrances and it's not limited to just the best sellers and seasonal candles like Walmart sells. They have a large selection of items for babies, kids, shoes, electronics, 2 aisles of craft supplies, kitchen and baking supplies, pet supplies including live fish, automotive selection, a large sporting good section (some of the Meijer stores even carry some well known brand name high end knives), a large selection of books and magazines, and toys for all ages. They are also one of the few places that carry the Willowwood collectables that I started buying as gifts for my mom, my aunt, and my bestie, and it's a large selection too. They did surprise me with their selection of name brand clothing for men, women (not much for women but they do have a few Champion items in athliesure wear and the lingerie department) and kids. They carry name brands like Champion, Adidas, Nike, and Carhart to name a few. I love Meijer and it's pretty much a given that if I'm in town and need to pick up a couple of things that I will go to Meijer. I'm in there a couple...
