I have only really had one barber for the 40 plus years that I have been getting haircuts, and that was my father. Needless to say it was somewhat overwhelming stepping into the task of finding someone else that I trusted when that time came.

I got lucky enough to find someone on the first try and that was Bitty. It was a little overwhelming at first having someone other than my father cut my hair, she worked with me every step of the way to make it a fabulous experience. She has always been super kind and you can see the passion she has for her profession. When she moved from the Frederica location to the 54 location I followed; she has been cutting my hair for well over 6 months now and I hope she will be my barber for years to come.

Levi is the best. Let me start out by saying I don’t have easy hair to cut—my hair is extremely thick, and I get a modern mullet-style cut that is pretty custom. After moving back to the area, I was really nervous about finding a new barber—especially as a woman asking for what might be seen as a more non-traditional or alt cut. But Levi made me feel totally safe and comfortable from the start.

He really takes his time, carefully sections my hair, and makes sure no angle gets overlooked. He actually listens to what I want, checks in throughout the cut, and is super skilled at working with thick hair, layering, and detailed scissor work. I leave every time feeling like I’ve gotten the best haircut of my life.

I was new to Owensboro and looking for a barbershop when I moved to town. After checking out a few places I ended up at another spot in town waiting for 1 guy while there were other chairs available but nobody there. So I looked again and came across Klutch so I went there. As soon as I walked in I knew I was in the right spot, the energy of the guys in the shop instantly set the tone. As a sneakerhead, hip hop head, it was always good conversation to be had. Fast forward 6 years later and I still make regular trips from Bowling Green to Owensboro to let JT cut my hair and beard!
