I stopped in to see Bea during the first weeks I was enrolled at Ole Miss in the fall of 1991, as I had no furniture whatsoever and it seemed like a great place to find a bargain. As soon as my eyes fell upon an old steamer trunk I knew I had found it, and for the outrageous price of $70 back in those days, I hauled it back to my dorm room.
