I was at the Marshalls in Oxford, MS yesterday and saw a sign saying clearance on Skechers shoes for $22 compare at $50. I picked the shoes in my size, 8.5 US, tried them on, and then took them to the cashier. However, the cashier after confirming with someone of higher rank, told me that I have to pay the full price for those shoes in my size, and only the display pair of shoes was on clearance. However, that wasn't what the sign showed, the sign indicated referred to all the Skechers shoes below it (I have a picture). It is very frustrating to spend so much time finding the pair shoes I wanted, and at the end find out that the store wanted to charge full price for a clearance item. If there is a problem with the sign or the clearance tags, that is the responsibility of the store and they should honor the price. Moreover, it is ridiculous to only have the display pair of shoes on sale when the same shoes in different sizes are not. It was intentionally misleading. There is another clearance rack for individual pairs of shoes in that store. They should have been placed there, not above the others that were full price. Marshalls has been one of my favorite stores, but because of this, I'm rethinking about going back to Marshalls...
Read moreminor problem, they are not great with numbers. Go look at pant's with 34 waist and over half will be pant's of a different size.
major problem, wife bought me a pair of shorts, said short's did not fit, wife returned shorts for refund, simple enough right, well wrong.
She accidentally hands him a different credit card to do the refund and she realizes it as it is going through and tells the cashier. The cashier is concerned because the customer service specialist of the store had recently told her if it wasn't the original card the refund would be rejected.
The cashier calls the manager and this is where it goes down hill. The cashier explains the problem, manager says comeback if it doesn't go through, my wife tells him we are from out of town and can't, argument ensues, his solution is to sell her the shorts(again) and then refund her the shorts (again) on the original card. Anyone else confused cause I sure am. Did I buy shorts twice and get refunded once, did i buy twice and refund twice, am in the middle of a secret algebra test? Who keeps the shorts? I don't know and I guarantee that manager...

I've always loved Marshalls, but you have to remember where you are. An average person can feel on top of the world when they go in, but depressed as soon as you go out. That's Oxford, MS for ya.
