What I like most about Home Goods is that you can never see everything on any particular trip there. I was there recently looking for a floor-size pillow that my Chihuahua would enjoy using for her new bed. There had been no pillows (like what I was looking for) at either local pet store. What they did have would have swallowed my baby, or I didn't like the material (it felt too rough for her skin). When I got to Home Goods, I was met with so many pillows, I didn't know which row to look down first. I found a great pillow, made of a soft washable material, that was stuffed with just the right amount of polyfill. The pillow I looked at first was yellow, so I continued looking and found the same size and style in a light red and one in light navy. My baby is snoring soundly upon her new navy pillow. On my next trip to Home Goods, I think I'll do a perimeter search first. I've found that to be a great way to get an idea of what can be found on the interior rows/aisles (depending upon the way items are arranged). Home Goods is a great place to shop and to get ideas...

A smaller store BUT they have things you never knew you needed! For example, if you need a large candle or extra long curtains for a reasonable price, this is the place to go! Also, customer service is pretty awesome as well! Now, I avoid the food (it seems dated), I always check any item that I’m going to buy for imperfections(scratches and slight damage), and I park towards the back(dings on my car)! Not a lot of affordable home decor items like curtains. Seemed to have only 1 pair of several designs... not good when most rooms have 2 windows. They had a very small supply/choice of curtain rod sizes and styles. They were also very expensive. I didn’t shop for anything else, so maybe the store had other departments that were better stocked.
