Pros, middle grounds and cons for you from a 15 month tenant (moving out): Pros: *Beautiful, modern apartments *Initial lease experience was seamless and we got a good deal for our A2 *Great neighbors *2 Sinks and big closet was pretty nice *SAFE neighborhood with police presence
Middle ground: *Maintenance is OK. Not good not bad just OK. *Gym is OK. We've seen better gyms when shopping around. *Distribution... The A2's living room and kitchen distribution don't make much sense and we ended up finding it inconvenient.
Cons: *At renewal time they did not lower price even though market is going down. If we didn't sign within 2 weeks the renewal rate was $100+ more. Imagine paying $1700+ (base pay) for a one bedroom!! No flexibility or negotiation they literally DO NOT CARE keeping tenants (our neighbors got their rent raised too). Just getting them in and hoping they stay for expensive pricing just for the convenience of not moving. *Pool and fire pit constantly "in maintenance" *Have not seen 1 pest control unit here EVER. Huge ant problem and recently roaches appearing in the halls. *Parking is disorganized and uncontrolled.
I waited for my lease to be ending before rating. A lot of ratings done in the initial visit are great (mine would be too) if it weren't for the issues that came up later, the amazing experience we had initially with the property manager unfortunately wasn't that great at the end.
If your looking for a place to call home for a couple years, I'd say this facility is not gentle towards responsible long term tenants. AND PLEASE GET PEST CONTROL. We've moving to the Dahlia, NEWER and better amenities with a LOWER PRICE they have elevators, parking control, all the halls and stairs are inside and a huge gym, even property manager went to check them out. I'll review them as well when my lease...
Read moreMy experience at The Pointe Palm Bay was the worse. I was moving in the area for my job and was looking for a place. A friend told me about that place and I took an appointment online for a visit and to submit an application. First, when I arrived there was no one at the front desk. After couples minutes someone came and I gave her my name and told her I had an appointment for a tour. She took me to a model for a tour. When we got into the model, instead of showing me the appliances, she was retouching her make up in front of a mirror. I basically did the showing to myself. When I asked her to visit another model, she told me she can't. She took her phone and show me a 5 seconds video of an appartment. After that, I asked her via email to give me a quote for the two models so I can have a visual of what the prices are, she responded: " YOU DON'T PAY FOR THAT SERVICE". I responded back saying this is what other properties do. They give the clients a quote for the appartments they are interested in so they can make decision. She literally asked me to pay around 1500 dollar up front if I want to proceed. They asked me to pay that amount without a quote, without a welcome letter explaining the charges, and with no lease! That was the first time in my entire life that I've came across someone like this: rude, unprofessional. I signed with a different property but I wanted to put this out there so people can be aware that this place is not a place...
Read moreI moved to The Pointe back in February of this year, and now that I’ve been here a few months I feel like I can give an honest review. Initially, my partner and I toured the complex back in February with Julia at the leasing office. She was kind, patient, and well informed. We were not intending to move in anytime soon, but due to unseen circumstances we had to move.
Thankfully Julia and the leasing office made this process as smooth as possible. Even with all 50+ questions and concerns I threw at them. Moving day went exceptionally well and we’re happy to call The Pointe our home. We enjoy the amenities, the friendly neighbors, and the sushi food truck that comes every so often.
I can also attest to how kind and helpful the maintenance crew can be. Today I placed a request for our AC that wasn’t cooling. Within a few hours the gentleman came in and started working on it. He kept me informed the entire time and now our AC is back to normal.
My only criticism would be the pet waste around the property. While there are multiple trash cans fully stocked with poop bags some people aren’t using them. I’ve stepped in dog poop at least 2-3 times now while trying to walk my own dog. I’m not sure if the leasing office can do anything about this but it’s a problem.
Overall, this is a great place to live and highly recommend it to anyone looking to move...
