Hi please read entire post thank you! So I’ve been a long time loyal customer to Bassett furniture. Have purchased 4- bedroom sets, two area, rugs, one small sofa, large dining room table,6 chairs. So after having a really nice Chocolate leather couch as lasted for many many years it was time to upgrade to a new couch. So we went to the Bassett Palm Beach Garden store and had the sales associate help us order a custom couch for our living room. I was very hesitant because I didn’t fit. The couch was gonna fit our size so the sales associate volunteered to come by our house and check all measurements specifications prior to ordering. The sales associate assured us the couch would fit in the space with a little less of couch than what we have before. She was able to see our couch measure our couch in the environment that our new couch will be in well 12 weeks later the new couch arrived to our surprise it was 24 inches shorter than our original couch so we were very disappointed. Made multiple phone calls multiple pictures multiple measurements and actually disputed it on the credit card to no surprise our $10,000 couch that is 24 inches shorter than our original. Now we have to suffer with a couch to hat barely fit our family of five. We are so horribly disappointing we trusted the sales associate-asset. We ended up with something was not what we expected and now we’re being stuck with it paying a $10,000 For a 24 inch smaller very smaller couch to fit in our living room. So there answer and doing us a favor try to make up for it, they tried to sell me a 24 inch enter piece which cost $3000 more. Bottom line if the sales associate and the Zero help Management would have done it here job properly. I would have 2 - 3 seater couches and not 1- 3 seater and 1- 2- seater which causes us to lose 24 inches .The reason for this post is that Bassett Furniture does not have your back credit card company that they deal with doesn’t have your back as well. You were stuck with whatever they deliver to your house and you have to live with it. This is a horrible situation every day I get up look at my couch and I have to pay a credit card bill for something. That is to small for my house. It doesn’t even fit in my space. How do you think you would feel paying $10,000 for something you can’t even sit your entire family on comfortably I will never go back and buy anything from Bassett furniture again and I will tell everybody that ever wants to buy anything from them Never go there. Read moreLong time customer but the quality of their products have declined significantly...but not as much as their customer service. Recently purchased a chair, on the delivery day I was informed by the delivery vehicle that my chair was broken and needed to be repaired and remained in the warehouse until it could be repaired and they handed me a pillow that went with the chair. After several phone calls, nobody could explain to me exactly how the chair was broken or when I could expect it to be repaired, I was told two weeks. After two weeks, I was told they didn't know for sure but it takes time for the replacement parts to be shipped to the warehouse. Multiple times I tried to call for updates only to never get an answer or even have my calls returned. Ultimately, I finally got my chair (though now a broken and repaired chair, refurbished, used) delivered about TWO months after the original scheduled date. Meanwhile, the chair sat in a non-climate controlled warehouse in South Florida for two months covered in plastic (which protects against dust, great in environments that aren't humid, but traps the humidity and doesn't allow the chair to breathe and dry out) and drenched from humidity. The only positive about their customer service is that, despite charging me for a new chair that was broken and refurbished before I ever even saw it, they didn't try to charge me for all the mold (pics attached) that they gave to me along with my chair as a bonus...free mold!! Customer service was horrible and completely unresponsive at every step of the way. We recently purchased a living room set from Bassett furniture in Palm Beach Gardens, but the experience with Jill R was deeply disappointing. As someone who values supporting other women in business, I was excited to work with a female sales person. Unfortunately, her approach was more like battle for used car dealer, controlling, pushy, and focus only on making the sale rather than genuinely listening to us. Initially, We overlooked these red flags because I wanted to see her to succeed but as experience unfold it, it became clear that her behavior was not only unprofessional, but completely unacceptable, not only for the amount of money we were spending but just respecting a human being. Communication after the sale was equally frustrating. I had to speak to different sales people because she was not available. This other lady that briefly help us, seem more concerned about earning the commission, then actually helping us. I tried to help her as well fand ask that she get compensated as well. The couch that was delivered was damaged and to make matters worse, it is the most uncomfortable piece of furniture I’ve ever owned - completely different from what I saw and sat on in the showroom.
