Wow. Bad experience. The person who took our drink order complained about how "busy" it was the night before. The server who took our meal orders talked with a staccato pace and no smile. He told me the only things on the menu I could have would be a salad (with oil and vinegar) or a steak with no sauce, due to my onion allergy. When we arrived they could not find my reservation. A couple of tense minutes later, they found it. Told me I'd have a patio table. Did not give us a patio table. Wondering if these employees are trained to be pleasant? From the front desk to the servers they seemed so unhappy and stressed out. We actually kindly requested our bill with a polite smile and left after the cocktail. There are restaurants that can handle an allergy and restaurants that can't. We went over to the Farm instead, where the servers were wonderful, smiling, and the kitchen offered me several options that could be onion-free. The atmosphere was sooooo pleasant and welcoming at the Farm. The prices are very similar at these two restaurants. I think the bill would have been the same at either one. The valet guys at Spencer's were polite and normal. We gave them a nice tip. Many restaurants can handle an onion allergy no problem, but not Spencer's in Palm Springs. They must not have the skill sets in the kitchen, or...
Read moreAlthough I love Spencer’s, this location has horrible customer service. My sister was kneeling down looking at jewelry. They had a deal on jewelry, so she was picking a few pieces. Some entitled teenager walked by and mutter something about her being in the way, then walked off. A few moments later she returned with an employee. He said excuse me, so my sister politely stood up to move, thinking they just wanted to grab something. The employee and entitled brat started to look through the jewelry! I get that there are entitled people in this world, but this employee shouldn’t have fostered it. He should have politely told her to wait her turn. When we mentioned that it was rude, the customer and employee, who were seemingly “friendly” with one another, laughed mockingly. We obviously put our intended purchases back and left, with no intent to return.
We typically shop at the Universal City Walk location, which has fabulous customer service! Maybe Palm Desert management should call up the Universal City Walk location to learn how to train...
Read moreI can't get ahold of the store. I keep getting the main center. I was overcharged. I went into the store and bought tarot cards and books and I knew something was off when my total came out to $177. I don't know how your cashier messed up but they charge me for a chucky pillow I did not want. I thought maybe they had it ring up before hand and forgot to clear it but it was the 3rd item scanned so it's alittle weird to make that mistake. And to top it off. He didn't even put it in the bag so it's not like I got my money's worth. It just seems suspicious. Like did you guys have a quote to meet on selling those pillows? Idk I just need my refund for this 34.99 item I didn't not want...
