Mercedes is now my “forever”Jeweler. By that, I mean I will wait to have my repairs and cleanings done when I come back to PBC, instead of up North. I am a part time resident in FL, but Mercedes Jeweler is going to be my Jeweler from here on out.

I was referred by a friend, and I’m so glad I finally found a jeweler I can trust in PBC.

I have a lot of turquoise and other silver. I’ve had a several rings cleaned, a few repairs on the bales and closures on silver necklaces, and also a very tricky, ornate silver bracelet that needed a new catch soldered and some of the intricate metal work was bent or pinched. They nailed it. I took that highly sentimental piece to- and paid - three different jewelers who never got it right.

I have badly arthritic hands, and they came up with a handy fix that alleviates my having to work with a standard necklace catch. I no longer have to fumble with putting a necklace on or taking it off. You can see that they have a few artisans on deck who know exactly what to do. I’ve lost track of how many chains I’ve got made here, but finally was able to piece together a real deal chunk! I provided all the gold and paid for labor to make a 14mm 290 gram Cuban link chain which came out flawless. Nice tight close links, lays perfect, and really stands out. I cannot say enough about how absolutely wonderful Amaru is - both as a jeweler and a very patient, very understanding gentleman. He designed an engagement ring for me using the stones from my grandmother's ring and the result is so beautiful it brought tears to my eyes. He never rushed me through the collaborative design process and, without exaggeration, spent over four hours with me over three separate visits to make sure the ring was exactly what I envisioned.
