Valley Oasis Thrift Shoppe — Local services in Palmdale

I just spent my morning taking pictures of a beautiful dining room table and some garden tools to see if they want them. Meanwhile I collected a bunch of clothes, lots of good condition jeans and full sets of bedding, some nice stuff, a scarf still in the original packaging unopened, and the like. I called first to be sure I could drop it off at that time. I brought the stuff in in one of their shopping carts and a rude woman, annoyed, says "you couldn't have at least put it in bags for us" then threatening "next time if you bring stuff like that I won't take it". Really? I should have just taken the stuff back and thrown it in a dumpster. Not a thank you for the donation jut a slap in the face. Waste of my energy and time on a Saturday morning. If she doesn't like her job or doesn't like working with the public, then why not find a different line of work. I will not allow myself to be treated like that. There certainly will not be a next time and you can look up the dining room table in Facebook Marketplace - too...

This place does not actually assist people facing imminent homelessness. You have to be ready to kill yourself due to your situation in order for them to want to help. My family of 4 was denied help because we weren’t at the stage of having a letter to vacate. But can’t feed my children, can’t put gas in the car to go to food banks, and will have that letter in a few days. I pray that whomever runs this organization takes a real hard look at the damages their employees cause to the mental health of their clients. When i first walked in to the valley oasis center , they immediately judged me for being young and didn’t even think to ask if i had children. I pray any person who needs assistance and Valley Oasis turns away, has every door possible open for them...

The prices are fantastic, and the employees were so helpful! We had come from Las Vegas to spend a night in Santa Clarita, and decided to come here based on the reviews on Google. I'm surprised it does not have more reviews because the prices are great--I got a great amount of plain glass baking Pyrex, a vintage suitcase in fantastic condition, and some NWT clothing for under $35 total.
