On 12/10/2024, my husband brought our sonâs fully functional iPad 11 Pro to iRepair for a cracked screen replacement. The only issue was the broken screen â it charged and held a charge without any problems before the repair.
When we picked it up, the iPad could no longer hold a charge. We returned it within days, believing damage occurred during the screen replacement. After keeping it for several days, the shop returned it with a full battery, but it still would not hold a charge.
We returned it a third time in January. Over the next several months, we received little to no updates unless we called or visited in person. In June 2025 â over six months later â the manager, Mike, claimed the charging port needed replacement and blamed delays on tariffs. He told us to come back in July.
During one of these visits, Mike mentioned he was waiting for a similar version of iPad to come in because he buys used iPads and would take the charging port from that device to put in mine. I believe iRepair had such a high volume of business in December when I dropped it off that they used my original charging port to repair another customerâs iPad and replaced mine with a faulty one before I picked it up. When I asked him to reinstall my original charging port so I could take the tablet for a second opinion, Mike told me he had thrown it away, stating they do not keep broken parts. He claimed he could not reinstall my original part.
On 8/1/2025, I called to check the status of the iPad and was told I could either: Leave the iPad there indefinitely and wait for a part to come in â with no estimated arrival time, or Have my screen removed and replaced with a broken screen that is not my original broken screen and receive a partial refund.
Mike stated I paid $280 for the screen and would only receive $180 back because he was keeping $100 as a âservice fee.â However, my original receipt (texted to me) shows I paid a total of $324.75 on 12/10/2024 â $236 in cash and $88.75 on my card. I do not understand how he is calculating the refund and believe he is trying to scam me.
Mike refuses to let me speak to an owner or higherâup. I am requesting to speak to the business owner or corporate management regarding a full refund and compensation for the damage caused to my iPad 11 Pro during their repair. I am also requesting an investigation into the businessâs repair practices.
Desired Resolution: âą Full refund for the $324.75 I paid for the screen repair. âą Return of my iPad immediately. âą Compensation for the damage caused during their repair. âą Investigation into the businessâs...
Read moreI went to fix my iPhone 14 Pro Max back screen because it was completely broken. When I went to pick up my phone several hours later , the flashlight turned on out of nowhere. Their excuse was that with the damage and the cause it was made that the flashlight was damage too. So I had to wait up 2 days for the part to get. In my opinion if it was because of the hit it took, wouldnât the flashlight would have been on since the day it got hit?? I had to the pay the repair of the back part of my phone plus the 85 of the flashlight. They didnât want to take responsibility. But oh well I wanted my phone back. When I took a look at the back part of my phone , they donât even put it in correctly , it was all crooked and had glue or idk what they used on it. I bought a thick phone cover to put in my phone so if it fell it wouldnât break. THAT OBVIOUSLY DIDNT WORK. It broke on the first fall and it completely shattered, even with the thick hard cover it had. It didnât even last the 30 days. I called to let them know and they said that they wouldnât fix it. Then why would you guys be advertising the 30 days guarantee if you are not going to respect it. I know the guy who got my phone at first did help me but when I called both times the lady who answered me was very rude. DO NOT BE ADVERTISING THE 30 DAYS GUARANTEE IF YOU ARE NOT GOING TO RESPECT IT AND BE TALKING BAD TO THE COSTUMER FOR ASKING TO RESPECT WHAT YOU ADVERTISE. I DONT RECOMMEND THIS...
Read moreUnfortunately, I was very dissatisfied with this place. I needed the back of my iPhone repaired and I was told it would take about 2-3 hours. After about 2 hours, I received a call asking if they could repair the back cover with a different color since they were having issues placing in the rose gold color. I couldnât agree to the offer because I was wanting to give/sell this phone back to my phone company. The receptionist said it would take a little longer to repair and I said that was fine. Finally, six hours later I called iRepair and nobody answered me. I called five times with no response. I drove to the place and gave them my name, and they had my phone ready but no one had contacted me to tell me. After inspecting the phone, I was SO DISAPPOINTED with the quality of work that was done. There were grease stains all on the sides that made the phone look like it was scratched up. I asked them if they could please clean it before I took it. They wiped it down for me, but there were still obvious scratches and metal lifting from the sides from where the repair happened. The back portion of the phone looks great, but there are small indentions all along the sides. Iâm afraid my phone company wonât even accept this phone due to the small damages that were made that are not fixable at this point. Iâm upset about this and the lack of communication towards the...
