I agree with the one-star review I read concerning the bitterness of the nuts. They left a lingering bitterness on my palate. But I disagree with the last review about the store experience. I've never visited when samples haven't been offered. Except this time. The staff person was pretty personality-less, unlike ever other visit. I realized after I left that I hadn't been offered a small bag. Having nothing to carry the chocolate in, it stayed in my nice, warm hands, with my fingerprints appearing on the chocolate pretty quickly. While maybe I should have thought to ask for a bag, the lady who rang me us certianly should have been trained to offer! One other comment would be that a lot of the chocolates don't have signage indicating what they are. I bought a piece thinking it was the caramel and fleur de sel. It turned out not to be. Overall, a disappointing visit. The two star rating reflects the experience more than the components...

The chocolates looked amazing, but my friends and I were not treated well in the store. For context, our group consisted of two Indian couples and we were in a well to do neighborhood. We saw a bunch of people standing at different ends of the shop making it look like there were two different queues. When we joined one of them, we were rudely asked to join the other line. Once we joined the other line, the person behind the counter seemed like they were ignoring us. When my husband saw this, he asked them a question to which the person rudely told us to wait and started helping another customer who was already being served by another employee. We got very upset with this discriminatory treatment and left without buying anything. We were very sad to get treated in this...

Even though the chocolates are good, attitude of staff was not good. I asked them for a smaller piece of their hazelnut milk chocolate and they denied breaking the slab in a smaller piece even though we should be able to get custom size from the bigger slab. One of the employees were breaking it and the other stopped her ( i believe the manager?). I think they just want people to over spend here. Usually i go once a month to buy chocolates from here but they lost a customer. Also reading through other reviews of people treated differently maybe they indeed are racist. I would go for venchi chocolates from now on as they have awesome...
