Good all-around massage. I thought I was getting a Swedish massage but ended up getting something between a Swedish, deep tissue, and stone massage. It was a full-body massage minus feet and head for about 45 minutes. Not really professional and proper privacy of massage.
There isn't a single person who manages the front/lobby. Seems like one of the masseuse that will massage you will take care of the check-in and out process. It's weird because they want you to pay and tip before you even get seen. Depending on how you tip, it will depend on how good of a massage they will give you. That's the vibe I got when the lady asked for a tip and then suggested $20.
The mood of the lobby is dark, and you see all the rooms. There isn't a separation from the front and the massage rooms. There is no front desk but a small table to pay for services. It's quite jarring from going in and out because it's bright outside and dark inside.
I couldn't really communicate with my masseuse because she didn't speak much English. She also had to call her boss and another person to help her with the credit card machine. It took several minutes to pay for my massage. The massage rooms have doors. I arrived 10 mins early, and then given about 5 minutes to undress for the massage, and then masseuse took probably about 10 mins to get hot stones and towels for the massage, and then ended 4 minutes before the hour. I probably got about 45 minutes out of 60 minutes massage. For half of the massage, she didn't close the door at all. She yanked the towel and sheet right off of me at the start of the massage. When you're not massaging a part of the body, you're supposed to keep the body covered. There were many times she didn't keep me covered properly. Halfway through, she had no cover sheet on me and just left to get the hot towels. I was left in my underwear only with the door open for 5 mins or so. That was uncomfortable. Finally, when she returned, she closed the door. Also, she'd leave the hot stones on me and then massage me. The stones would just fall off to the side of me. It's kind of weird. The hot stones and towels massages felt good. Beware, they are really hot as that's how they are. If you have sensitive skin, you may be shocked by the heat. Luckily, I do pretty well with very hot temps. The only massage I didn't like too much was the pounding. A little bit uncomfortable when I got pounded near my near shoulder area because of the small strands of my hair. It would get pulled when she hit those areas. I didn't enjoy it and could have used a shoulder or head massage when I was on my back. At the end of the massage, you get a water bottle. Leaving from the dark place and into the bright outside was quite jarring. Takes a minute or two for your...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNo receptionist. I had difficulty understanding the message therapist due to a language barrier. It made it difficult for me to know what she wanted me to do or what was going on. I was asked to pay up front (it was so dark I couldn't see what i was signing) and so it was difficult to know how much to tip without first having the massage and so I ended up being charged another credit card fee when I offered a tip. I was charged $5 in all for these fees. I asked for a full body Swedish massage but I'm not sure what I got as it included a paper towel between the hand and skin early on and around the neck and a hot towel. I don't recommend this place and I'm not...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreII made an apt online for 5pm. I showed up a few minutes before 5. Feel seconds after I walked in some guy came in and they ladies came out and asked if we were together and I was like no. And then they took the guy back I told them I had an apt 5pm, showed her my email confirmation and she was like no apt for you on here (pointed to her phone) and just said sorry and walked off. She didnāt offer to reschedule or do the massage herself. I understood the language barrier but based on what just happened I believe I was discriminated based on my skin color or tattoos or honesty both. The irony of being discriminated against another minority is...
