Updated Review our breakfast experience was dissatisfied and the management took it seriously and invited us back for dinner. I have added new reviews for the dinner and kept my original review from breakfast.
——Dinner Review—— Food was 5 stars, service from Joshua was immaculate, ambiance was 5 stars as well.
Biggest improvement was on the food (based on other reviews it seems the quality of dinner dishes were consistent). We ordered Truffle Arancini, Branzino, Pork Chop and Tiramisu for dinner. Branzino was MUST HAVE!! The skin was intact and perfectly crispy while the meat was still tender, served on a bed of wilted spinach and mustard cream sauce. It was a huge plate of food but the flavor and texture were just right so I devoured it very quickly. Second best thing was the Truffle Arancini. You can taste truffle, cheese, rice all in one bite, and I loved that the truffle flavor was not too overpowering. The texture was perfect too with light crisp on the outside. Tiramisu was one of the best I have had, not too sweet with the right balance between coffee and cheese flavor. The pork chop was a new dish. The mint sauce on top was a nice touch. The meat was perfectly tender, but I would add a sauce to it since it’s very meaty. The potato and carrot on the plate were nicely cooked as well. Overall very pleasant dinner experience.
I do appreciate the team took my feedback seriously and are looking into improving the issues I mentioned below from the breakfast. I can see this restaurant going very far with a talented team of chefs and hospitality staff who have positive attitudes to continuously improve. I will definitely come back!
——Original Review—— We came here for breakfast because we stayed at the hotel and they pretty much only had this option. Food was extremely disappointing, service was attentive but they got a few things wrong. Atmosphere was amazing. One star for atmosphere, one star for service, ZERO star for the food.
Let’s talk about the food. Pretty much everything is in line with the theme of this place - looks decent, but you can’t take a closer look, and once you do, you’ll get disappointed. We ordered the parfait, omelette and chicken sausage. Parfait was surprisingly petite size (which I was initially ok with because the reason why I ordered this is because I did not have a huge appetite for breakfast that day). But the container was so small and made it extremely difficult to mix in the honey with the yogurt and sour berries, leaving the taste very inconsistent. Let’s get to the worst part - the omelette. First of all the toast was burnt (and also tiny, not even a complete piece of toast, nor was it the American size that I was expecting). The omelette was the worst I have had in my whole life. They got the order wrong so it was missing one topping (not holding this against the chef since it’s not the Chef’s fault). The worst part was that the bacon and sausage were not even mixed in with the eggs (you’ll see it on the picture). It seems to me they’re just mass producing the eggs and folded in any toppings the guests would have asked for, which was not COOKING, and took ZERO culinary skills. The only thing that was good on the plate was the roasted potatoes. It was amazing and probably one of the best ones I have had . Light crisp on the outside and soft on the inside, with the right amount of seasoning. I would give them that, but still disappointed since it was not supposed to be the star of the show. The chicken sausage (forgot to take a picture) was just an add-on but it was portioned well and tasty (a tad sweet in my opinion, but I think most people will like it).
Service was attentive but they did make a few mistakes with the order and printed the wrong item on the receipt. And one of the server brought us something that another tabled had asked for.
Atmosphere was good. Ideal for business dinner or date nights. If you care about quality of the food, I will not...
Read moreThe reconstruction of the entire restaurant is so vibrant and intimate and stunning! I was so pleasantly surprised with how it all looked and felt that I decided to not take my food up to my room, but dine at a table instead.
Joshua, my server, was nothing short of extraordinary, and truly transformed my dining experience into something unforgettable. From the moment I was greeted, he radiated warmth and enthusiasm, making me feel like I was VIP. His knowledge of the menu was unparalleled, guiding me through the dishes with such genuine passion that it felt less like a suggestion and more like a personal recommendation from a trusted friend. Every detail was carefully attended to—my drink was topped off without me noticing, plates arrived at just the right moment, and every need was anticipated before I even had to ask. But it wasn’t just the impeccable timing or the flawless execution—it was the energy and care he brought to the table. You could tell he was truly invested in creating an exceptional experience for me, and his thoughtful, attentive service made the evening feel like a celebration rather than just a hot meal away from home. It’s rare to encounter service this outstanding, and it left me not just satisfied, but truly impressed. I also work in the service industry, and he completely inspired me to give this level of service and care to people as well.
Chef Garcia has absolutely redefined what a steak dinner should be. From the first bite to the last, this was not just a meal—it was an experience. The steak, cooked to absolute perfection, was a masterpiece of flavor and tenderness. Every cut melted in my mouth, with a sear that was both crisp and rich, locking in all the savory juices. It was clear that Chef Garcia has honed his craft with precision, using only the finest cuts and a technique that takes culinary art to another level.
And let’s talk about those Brussels sprouts. Often overlooked or poorly executed, Chef Garcia’s version was nothing short of magical. They were roasted to crispy perfection on the outside, yet tender on the inside. The seasoning was bold but balanced, elevating the natural flavor without overpowering it. Paired with the steak, the sprouts weren’t just a side dish—they were an essential component of the meal, offering the perfect contrast in texture and taste.
The entire dish was a testament to Chef Garcia’s remarkable skill and his ability to elevate simple ingredients into something extraordinary. Every bite was a symphony of flavors that left me not just full, but truly satisfied. This wasn’t just a dinner—it was an unforgettable culinary experience that left me eagerly anticipating...
Read moreI wrote this same review on yelp and im writing the same here... because it was that good! I recently had the pleasure of dining at Zio's, a traditional Italian restaurant that exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted with warm hospitality and an ambiance that transported me straight to Italy.
To begin, I enjoyed the tomato soup and Caesar salad. The tomato soup was rich and comforting, bursting with fresh flavors that hinted at a long-simmered recipe. The Caesar salad was crisp and perfectly dressed, with a classic anchovy essence that true Caesar lovers will appreciate. The tuna crudo was a standout starter—delicately sliced and impeccably fresh, it melted in my mouth and was seasoned just right to let the quality of the tuna shine.
For the main courses, I indulged in rib eye steak, Rigatoni Alla Norma, and Pappardelle with short rib ragu. The rib eye was cooked to perfection—juicy, tender, and seasoned with a flavorful, sweet crust that complemented the meat without overpowering it. The Rigatoni Alla Norma was a delightful vegetarian option, with al dente pasta enveloped in a rich tomato sauce, studded with caramelized eggplant and topped with a sprinkle of ricotta salata. The Pappardelle with short rib ragu was simply divine—the pasta was fresh and silky, and the ragu was hearty with melt-in-your-mouth short rib that had been braised to perfection.
Ending the meal on a sweet note, the tiramisu did not disappoint. It was light yet indulgent, with layers of creamy mascarpone and espresso-soaked ladyfingers that balanced sweetness and bitterness beautifully.
The service throughout the evening was impeccable. Joshua, our server, was incredibly amiable and went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable experience. It was wonderful to see him mentoring his assistant, Ray, as he served us. Their teamwork added a personal touch to the evening and reflected the restaurant's commitment to excellent service. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable, providing excellent recommendations and ensuring that every need was met promptly. The wine list was extensive, offering a perfect pairing for every dish.
Overall, Zio's offers an authentic Italian dining experience that is both elegant and inviting. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply in the mood for exceptional Italian cuisine, I highly recommend paying a visit to this...
