I am a huge fan of home goods and their sweet little finds however I have had the WORST customer service experience ever. Darlene is the shift leader of the night crew and has been super unprofessional, unhelpful, and unpleasant. I also was introduced to the fact that she’s a teacher because of her unnecessary side comments that were made as she was rolling her eyes when I explained to her that an item wasn’t fully credited towards my new purchase. As a consumer I’m not worried about people’s other job titles when I’m speaking to them as a store employee. I was also told I would have to go back to the “original store I purchased the item from on rt 17” and I had to unnecessarily explain that I was speaking to her- the employee in this exact store... that was a little alarming. Both Leyla and Darlene had belittling body language, facial expressions, and word choices. Between the huffing and puffing in between and eye rolling I don’t know if I was to feel embarrassed by them or embarrassed for them. I recommend that in the near future the staff here receives training on customer service, courtesy, fair treatment, and basic mathematics. Love this store and people that work there, very helpful and very attentive. But I think there is something wrong with management - today I was there and I bought baby stroller, excellent price for excellent product. Since I’m 7 months pregnant I couldn’t lift that heavy box so I asked for help. A wonderful woman (think her name is Kristina) helped me out. She carried that big heavy box and put it in my car. I was so embarrassed that I couldn’t help her...So this 5 stars are for her! The thing that bothered me was, next the entrance there was a young 20 something boy who is employee of Home Goods who was just standing there, lining on a tall table doing nothing. So my question to management is Why do you have woman lifting heavy stuff when you have male employees who can help out?! For all the ladies in this Home...

Great Manager by the name of Chuck who has the patience of a saint ! Was there 3 days in a row this week and asking a zillion questions and he offered me options I didnt realize were available for delivery of large pieces.

Cant say enough good things about this Paramus Store, its manager Chuck and his friendly always helpful staff. Also store very organized and clean.
