We stopped in to grab a late night bite after visiting the Paramus Veterans Home. It was appx 930 pm on a Wednesday and the place was packed. Luckily we were able to grab a table. A Grateful Dead tribute band was playing and the bar, tables and dance floor was filled with dead heads singing, dancing and enjoying the music. It was awesome to see a place do business on a weeknight. We went to the bar for our first drink. It was quick, bartender was friendly. However, back at the table, It took about 20 minutes of trying to get the attention of the server. When she finally came over she was not friendly, did not smile and was not at all engaging. She put the menus on the table and walked away. About 15 minutes passed before she came back (good thing we got our own drinks at the bar) She efficiently took the order, still no smile and tbh, a bit of an attitude,We asked for another drink and she said, since you ordered your drinks from the bar that's where your check is then walked away. 20 minutes pass and a young man brought our food. The food was ok. All 3 of us got wings. Both servers avoided our table after that. I had to go to the bar to ask for to-go containers I understand (as a former server) if the tab is started in one spot, how you would think we wouldn't tip BOTH bar and floor, but you NEVER KNOW who you're serving All 3 in our party are former food service industry We planned on tipping the floor and bar...WELL. The attitude of the young lady was unnecessary and unwarranted. We probably wouldn't go back because of it.

We had a blast at the Orange Lantern! It was chaotic, noisy, and challenging to get a table, we nearly bailed but I’m glad we didn’t. Food was better than expected (not a knock just expected standard bar fare and while the menu was standard, the food was excellent. We got steak tacos(generous stuffed with I believe ribeye) the Thai wings (meaty and cooked perfectly) and the onion rings(solid) drinks were well balanced. The entertainment was great, the setlist was solid and the band delivered. A+ night of entertainment. The bill was a lot less than expected to which rounded out a wonderful evening. We’ll be back for sure!

A hidden gem. I didn't know about this place the food is excellent. We got sweet potato fries and you can tell good oil changed often. The pizza was good but the wings were so good, meaty right balance of flavor. We got sliders too and the roast beef was super good. The chef told me they do in house. The service was fast. We went there with kids and seems very kids friendly and no one mind they were laud. I will definitely go back. Enjoyed food, service, atmosphere and the people working there super friendly

My wife and I went here for the toys for tots. While dropping off our treats for the little ones, we decided to eat there. While it did sound like a good idea, we stayed. While waiting for the people behind the bar to acknowledge us, it did take several minutes for them to come. After we mentioned it was our first time there the person did offer us some beverages. After we got the beverages it was about 15mins before the person came back to take our orders. While the staff is great their attention to new customers needs to be revisited. It felt like the “normal” customers that are there very often we serviced faster than we were. Sandwiches were great and the drinks well they weren’t bad, I ordered a Malibu bay breeze and it was mostly juice I didn’t even taste the alcohol even though it is a soft drink. App was good chicken fingers. Entree was delicious but could use more of a side and less expensive. Fries...

10/18/25: Saw the recent social media buzz about the buffalo chicken Mac and cheese that my wife really liked when it was on the specials a couple years ago (and frequently asked for). Found out it's a Sunday only special but the kitchen was able to accommodate the request. It hit the table and it was just bacon Mac and cheese. Sigh... To add insult to injury the kids pizza is still missing from the menu. We tried The OL again... Probably not again.

6/28/25: The new menu sucks! The chicken parm sandwich is gone, the godfather is gone, the gyro is gone, the blt is gone, the kids pizza is gone... We've been coming here weekly for a couple years now but I think that's done. Disappointed...

Original; Really cool hidden gem. Service was great, food was even better. Parking can be tight on busy nights. Clean and well kept. I totally recommend the nachos and hot wings. We'll be...
