Huge Barnes & Noble location.
This was a former Toys R Us location, so if you know that former brand, you already know the size their stores used to be. With Barnes & Noble taking over the building, you have probably one of their largest locations. It's definitely the largest I've been to and I've been to a lot of locations.
This is also one of the more modern Barnes & Noble locations on the interior. This particular store seemed to be a bit newer than others I've been to - almost as if they just opened more recently. The entire store was clean, neat, and overall looked great.
Most Barnes & Noble locations carry similar stock overall, though the actual selection can vary whether it's number of copies of something or whether they have it in store or not. What they don't have in the store, they can order it for you. This location seemed to have more than most others, but it's probably due to the size of the store.
Those still looking for blu rays/DVDs will find a pretty good selection here.
Any staff I encountered were friendly, accommodating, and pleasant, which goes a long way these days.
The parking is plentiful and all around the building.
Located in a busy shopping area on the busy 17, so use caution with the traffic.
Being from NY, this is not my local Barnes & Noble location - but I do wish it was closer to me. If in the area again and in the need for a Barnes & Noble, I'd surely pay this place a...
Read moreI recently had a fantastic experience at Barnes & Noble that truly exceeded my expectations. I was in search of the perfect gift for my nephew, an aspiring scientist, and I wasn’t quite sure where to begin. That’s when one of the incredible employees stepped in to help.
With genuine enthusiasm and expert knowledge, the employee took the time to ask about my nephew’s interests and needs. He then guided me to a stunning science chemistry set that turned out to be absolutely perfect! The set not only promises hours of engaging, educational fun but also beautifully aligns with my nephew’s passion for science. It’s clear that Barnes & Noble offers much more than just books—a diverse range of quality products is available to spark creativity and learning.
What impressed me most was the employee’s attentive service and the way he made me feel valued as a customer. His warm demeanor and expert advice transformed my shopping trip into a delightful experience, ensuring that I left with exactly what I was looking for.
Overall, my visit to Barnes & Noble was a memorable one. The perfect blend of a welcoming store atmosphere, an impressive selection of products, and exceptional customer service makes this my go-to destination for gifts and more. I’m incredibly grateful for the assistance and thrilled with the chemistry set—an ideal gift that I know will inspire my nephew’s...
Read moreWhoever in corporate signed off on this new concept and layout should be fired..From the moment you walk in, you feel like you're in an Ikea meets Hallmark store that happens to be in an operating room.
The layout is so confusing with no visible overhead signage if you wanted to navigate to a specific section. There are dead ends and curved aisles at parts.
Then you are greeted with more toys and plushes and stuffed animals than books (hopefully this will change after the holidays).
As for the operating room analogy, the lighting is those aggressively bright LEDs and are way too many of them. People with sensitive eyes - this is Barnes & Migranes.
Also one stressed looking cashier on a Friday at 7pm with a line 15-20 deep was not a good look.
They need to fix some things here before it goes the way of Geoffrey and Big Lots...There's nothing warm, inviting or pleasant about this store. It's...
