OVERSTOCK APPLIANCES — Local services in Paramus

Bought a LG Washtower and Bosch dishwasher. Price was not that much discounted from other big stores even though washtower was heavily dented. But the availability and the customer service was great so I ended up buying. Delivery and installation was spot on. No issues at all. The issue however I have and hence the 3 stars is the washtower. I bought a LG WKE100HVA and I have mixed feelings about it. First of all, the speed wash is absolutely useless. It barely washes anything and even if you leave half the washer in, half of the clothes are dry and unwashed. The next shortest cycle is the normal cycle. I filled up to 80% of the capacity and the wash time was 2 hours 28 minutes. That is unacceptable. My old samsung washer did not go by the weight and the wash times were quick. 2 hours 28 minutes is just so long. I dont know yet if this is normal or if there was a issue with the washtower because it was dented and it went undetected. Havent really found any answers for long wash times for this wash tower yet so I might need to call up LG customer service. The wifi option is also not working for me at all. My dishwasher broke just before a holiday weekend when the following week I was expecting a houseful of visitors because of a funeral. I went to all the large franchise stores, shopped online, etc. I couldn’t get anyone to verify if the dishwasher I had in mind had an electric box to wire into or if it had a cord that needed an outlet.

James Flynn at Overstock Appliances confirmed it had an electric box. He also met the sale price of one of the large stores which another large store competitor had refused to do for me.

The next challenge was delivery in time. They were honest and said the ideal day was completely booked. The next day would be very tight and it would be late in the day because they had a big delivery in Manhattan but they said they would.

I was very busy the day of delivery and realized at 4:30 that I hadn’t heard anything. I called the store, they assured me it would be delivered within the hour. IDK who the guy was, but I realized after, he brought it in his private vehicle. I was so grateful. We got it installed quickly, about a half hour before guests arrived.

I walked into Overstock Appliances not knowing what to expect, with the intention of browsing/exploring options to upgrade my basic gas range. Joseph was excellent, friendly and professional, not pushy at all, I told him I would think about a range he pointed out, I called in later that day and Joseph told me he would hold it over the weekend so I can take that time to decide. I was able to get a floor sample range of my dreams, for less than the big box store (where it was on back order for two months) and it was in my kitchen & assembled TWO days later!! I am impressed with the staff, the stock, and the ease of purchasing a quality product especially nowadays where everything seems to be on delay, not in this store! I have been using the range for a couple weeks now, it feels great to have a quality product that cooks phenomenally, with looks to match! Would give a 10 star...
