The Paper Store — Local services in Paramus

The way they treat customers is the worst. I bought cute newborn socks to give as a Christmas gift. While I was wrapping it up, I realized that I paid $8.99 when the tag says $6.99. I had no choice but gift the sock, and thought that if I took a picture of the receipt, it will be okay. But, boy was I wrong, for $2 bucks, they made me feel like I was getting back $200 bucks. One of the manager was just totally giving me the eye and telling me that they can’t do anything at all since I didn’t have anything. I mean, if she just said in a nice tone, it would have been okay.. I knew that it was my fault for not checking it when buying the item. But the way she was talking without even an apology, I felt like I was being scolded. I guess it was my fault trusting the store to have the right pricing. I should have double checked. It was one of my favorite store to look around in, but I guess I will never be back in there. Honestly, everything in the store is over priced too. So, make sure to look for the same item...

I spent a little under $100 on a few items, which I don’t mind doing so as I do like their products. As I was paying I was told by the man cashing me out, that they were out of bags with the exception of small bags and the really large bags. My comment was, with the price of the products in the store….you would think that bags are always available. His response, “Macys and many other stores in NJ do not give bags out anymore” funny because prior to shopping in the paper store I had been to Macys and walked out with a paper bag….so I walked out with my purchases some in a tiny bag and other in my hand…I open my car door and yep!! They all fell to the ground. I get if I’m not expecting a bag or the option to pay I will choose to take my own..but to be expected to pay their high prices and carry out without. Bag…....

Not a Hallmark store, but have Hallmark cards. They don't accept Hallmark membership, but you can sign for theirs. This a big store with loads of gift options for all ages and all events. Their inventory includes cards, mugs, toys, home accessories, clothing, boutique, and many more. They keep a huge collection of seasonal items too. The store very clean, well maintained inventory, and plenty of associates around to help. The check out lines were moving fast for us, as they had three counters open. One of my go to places for...
