I live in Park City and have frequently shopped at Leekers. I would say that during the two years of shopping here I have left only a handful of times without coming home with an expired item. Why don’t I look at the expiration dates you ask? I do, but being a mother of two young children with one on the way many of you are well aware that a lot of shopping trips are more of a race to the checkout. Not only have I witnessed numerous expired products in various sections I cannot buy bagged lettuce here because they are almost always rotten or wet in the bag. This is not the straw that broke the camels back, however. Just this past week I went into Leekers to buy food for my children while I had the flu. I intended on making a discreet visit and grabbed four items before going to the deli to grabbed prepared food for my kids. Oh, did I mention I’m also pregnant. I asked the woman behind the counter for what I needed and asked if I could check out with her. Now I have checked out with non-deli items here on numerous occasions with no problem. She told me she could not scan the bananas I had since they were produce. I told her that was fine and m I would check out without them bc I was extremely ill and pregnant and needed to get out of the store asap. I told her I needed to use the restroom bc I was going to be sick. I came out and she refused to check me out with two of my non deli items: a toddler Sippy cup and oatmeal, but would scan the Gatorade and Vitamin Water I grabbed in the juice section. She then proceeded she would load up my items in a cart so I could check out in the front. I pleaded with her I had checked out at the deli on numerous occasions, but she just couldn’t budge for the pregnant, flu ridden woman begging her for a discreet exit. I loaded my items up into the cart and pushed it crying to the nearest front cashier. I am an extremely patient and forgiving person, but this was the most embarrassed I have been in a long while. I do want to thank the bag boy for asking the crying pregnant woman if she needed help. He was the ONLY person who acknowledged a mother/person in...
Read moreI absolutely love this store. When you first walk in there are old school grocery carts. Then you walk further into the store and it smells amazing because they have a hot food section there where people prepare food and you can either take it to go or sit there and eat. I haven't tried their hot food yet, but it really does smell quite good and the prices for their hot food appear to be really reasonable and good. Their Bakery was fantastic. I got a loaf of Pumpernickel and a loaf of French bread and they were both fresh and delicious. They had cookies and pies and cakes and all kinds of Breads and it all looked fantastic and I look forward to trying all of it. Their produce section was great, everything looks so fresh and delicious. Their meat section is amazing. They cut Meet Fresh Daly they make their own sausages beef jerky's all kinds of stuff and it all looks fantastic. I bought some ground beef and it was only $2.97 a pound. What a fantastic deal! They had other really good meat prices and I was so impressed. The Isles had everything you would want in a grocery store and they had products that I either haven't seen for a while or have never seen and look forward to trying it. They have their own seasonings and meat rubs and marinades. And one thing I found so amazing was they even had a dollar store within their store. There was even a dry cleaner in the store. At checkout all the employees were so friendly and nice and helpful, as they were throughout the store. Not to mention all the great prices and deals they had throughout the store. You don't need a special card to get sale prices, which is refreshing, although they do have an app for your phone where you can get special digital coupons for extra savings and the free item of the week. After I was done checking out the person who bagged my groceries automatically pushed my cart out and helped me load my car. This store has now become my new grocery store of choice. I just can't say...
Read moreCongratulations, you guys made my wife happy. She's not the biggest fan of shopping at your store, she says you guys have a weak selection and are overpriced. But I insisted that we support our local grocery store. So I have lunch there 2-3 times a week, and we spend $125 a week in groceries, and utilize your dry cleaning. Well that all changed tonight, I went in with my son to get dinner since we forgot to get meat out purchased at your store by the way, We ordered a 8 pc. chicken dinner, when I ordered the sides is when things went sour. I asked for baked beans and mashed potatoes, with the white gravy separate since my other kids don't like gravy. That's when I was informed that it would be an extra charge for the gravy. That left me confused since I eat lunch there weekly and often ask for gravy on the side without ever being told or charged extra. I asked him if he was serious, and he said yup company policy. I said ok that's fine I'll pass on the gravy, I then ordered some nuggets and was told it would be 5 minutes no big deal I'd prefer them fresh anyways. So as he's finishing up with the sides and getting our meal bagged he tells me it's father's night and a dozen free cookies will be included, that just fired me up, you're willing to give away a $5 box of cookies but not .20 cents worth of gravy. I declined the cookies since it seemed like you guys were more hard up than Iam. I informed your manager of my displeasure and with little to no care, I informed her that this would be the last purchase I make with your company. I'll never step foot in again, and doing so brought my wife pleasure knowing she doesn't have to shop there anymore, silver...
