Wow, look at the negative reviews. This included. Is the owner so disconnected from his own business that he either never reads these reviews or doesn't care or thinks all of us are just making these reviews up? How is a successful business run this way and expected to last and be profitable? I don't own a KFC, but, I do know food service, and I also know customer service. My experience today. I am not from here. 1:45pm Sunday afternoon. 10 people seated in restaurant, perhaps 6 (six) having the buffet. A couple cars in the drive thru. Party of four in front of me for buffet. They've already paid but still waiting on someone to wipe down the tables. Cannot find a clean table in the restaurant to be seated. Macaroni salad, empty. Out of the three (3) line pans for chicken, there is ONE (1) piece of chicken on the buffet line . Mashed potatoes pan, empty and crusted at bottom. TWO(2) biscuits on buffet line. Nothing is labeled on the steam line. Bread pudding is right next to potatoes... looks just like dressing. Made that mistake. They are out of plastic utensils on the counter. Out of plastic drink lids on the counter. Smaller salad plates are placed at same end as entrees on steam table(s). I should say practically empty entree line pans. Larger dinner plates are placed on opposite end, next to refrigerated salad items. This is a disaster. Take my money and this is what you offer in return? I understand Sunday afternoons, the lunch crowd, and the rush. I understand progressive cooking. I understand food cost control/margin for all you can eat. But, i also understand staffing. Really? This much wrong? Trash cans full and one even overflowing near front of restaurant. I'd be willing to give benefit of doubt. But, look at other earlier reviews of buffet...apparently, this is common practice. I disagree with Ron in his earlier review. They do not serve you chicken from behind the counter to ensure it's fresh. Imo, they do so because either they are not staffed or trained to properly monitor the buffet line or they are being instructed (by management) to intentionally keep food (esp. chicken) to an absolute minimum on the buffet line to cut down on food cost/waste. Which is fine, if that's what they want to do, but then it's not actually a buffet... it's a bottleneck at the counter caused by people wanting food having paid for the buffet and other walk ins that simply want to order off the menu. This place could be alot better. They have the floor size and the equipment. They just lack the training, direction, and best practice. At worst, this owner is running his business on auto-pilot. At best, he is entrusting it's successful operation to under-staffed teenagers that only know to be reactive and offer apologies or excuses for those areas in which they're not delivering what is being sold. My question is this: How many successful businesses incorporate excuses and apologies as best practice to attract and retain loyal customers? Mr. Owner, you can only trade under the franchise name for so long before you either are forced to close or corporate will end up taking the store over. Sad, really. Doesn't need to be this way. Good luck. But, I don't think luck is...
Read moreIf I could give 0 stars I would. We arrived at 10:45 am on a Sunday morning looking forward to the buffet. After we ordered and paid we noticed that there was no chicken on the buffet. We asked about it and they said they don’t put chicken out until someone had ordered the buffet. Totally understandable. However, this was 10 minutes after we had ordered the buffet. While asking about the missing chicken, we noticed that the employees in the kitchen were plating other customers food with no gloves or hair nets. We also asked about that and we were told that they are not required to wear gloves. Having spent almost 7 years in the restaurant industry and taken many, many food handlers’ classes, I know this to be unsanitary and against the food handlers guidelines. We requested a refund and were turned over to a different employee. She was rude and got another employee to help us. We believe this man was the manager, who we saw not wearing gloves. We did receive our refund from him, without a doubt they knew they were in the wrong. He was polite and respectful about the situation. While we were speaking about getting a refund, Sunny, (we later asked her name) was loudly talking negatively about our complaints and request for a refund. Overall, it was an extremely poor experience. Below, I’ve even posted the food handlers guidelines where it states gloves must be worn when plating ready...
Read moreI am only giving this a one-star review because I can't give zero Stars but I am a truck driver and most the time we have very limited places we get to go eat. But when I stopped in here this evening to order some food the girl that was working drive-thru was kind of rude when I asked for a 12 piece chicken for me and my wife she said we don't have that sir and I go it's on the menu well it will be 25 minutes before it's ready I said okay and she rang it up and when I asked for some of the Kentucky sauce on the side I was told no that I could not have it or even buy it when I asked to speak to a manager the manager did not come to see me she just walked behind the counter and asked manager can we give him red sauce on the side and she said no I have been coming into this place for about 5 years never had a problem with this before but I am definitely not coming to this store location again I am 50 years old and I am tired of the customer service we receive at these places like we are being done a favor buy them...
