I have been a loyal customer of this nail salon for yearsāit used to be my favorite. However, my recent experience has completely changed my opinion. I had my nails done, and within an hour, they bent and appeared as if they had melted. Concerned, I called and spoke with the manager, who assured me that they would fix the issue at no cost.
When my husband and I went in today, we immediately noticed that something was different. We soon learned that the original owner, whom we loved and trusted, had sold the salon to the manager. After my nails were repaired, I was shocked to find that I was charged an additional $91, despite being told it would be fixed for free.
This is completely unacceptable. Not only was I misled, but I was outright lied toāand I cannot support a business that operates dishonestly. Integrity and customer trust matter, and this experience has made it clear that this salon no longer values either.
"Just a quick update on the managerās responseāshe claims we 'did not contact her in time.' Thatās interesting, because we actually reached out the very next day. No one answered. When we finally got through, we were told they were having phone issues. Convenient. Not to mention, she clearly stated she would take care of itāno problem, no chargeāand, for the record, had no trouble understanding English at the time. But sure, letās pretend that didnāt happen. Attached is a picture for proof. Iāll let reality do the talking."
Update Now that I have provided proof that I called on the 18th, you have suddenly found the records confirming my call. Initially, you claimed I never contacted you. Additionally, I should not have to take time out of my day to return and fix an issue that should have been done correctly the first time. After getting my nails done, I left for an 18-hour trip to visit my family. It is also concerning that when my husband spoke with you on the phone, you made no mention of these issuesāonly that you would resolve the matter without any problem. You misled us simply to gain a little extra money, and I hope it was worth risking...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTommy is amazing. Here's the story of how we found him: My best friend and I were on our way to a nail appointment at a different salon hoping to both get full acrylic sets. Neither of us typically get acrylics, so we just found something that seemed okay online. On our way there, we stopped at Starbucks to get coffee. I see two girls with incredible nails and they catch me staring -- I apologized and told them I was just eyeing their amazing manicures and they both said you've got to go see Tommy at Noire! My friend and I looked at each other and we're like okay, eff it, and called Noire hoping there was something open.
I should mention that this was for my wedding which was in 2 days so I was in a bit of a rush, heh. I'm also extremely picky and specific about my nails even in general, so I was stressing! Tommy had an opening so we snagged it and headed over. He did an AMAZING job. He was patient while I decided what color to get and even swatched a few powders for me so I could get a better sense of what they would look like on the nail. My nails came out looking EXACTLY how I wanted and extremely even and precise. Normally I have to nag whatever poor nail tech I get to 'even out the top/sides/point' or whatever, but I never had to do that with Tommy. He was SO conscientious and lightning fast. I got acrylics with powder (which he applied perfectly; none of that inch-thick glob that some powder application looks like) and they were perfect for literally weeks. By the time I took them off they still looked brand new minus the natural nail growth. I could not be more happy and I will exclusively be going to Tommy for acrylics from now on.
(Also -- my friend got hers done with the other gentleman who does acrylics, I'm so sorry but I forgot his name! Her nails were also...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had appt that I made online almost a week before coming in and was treated like a walk in and was told I was a walk in , ok no problem missed Communication. Especially because I made it with one person in particular and they are about to Sit me with someone else. I requested this person for a reason. Then I proceeded to tell him my nail history. I am very allergic primer which is used for acrylic. He did tell me that he was having a client come in almost the same time as my appointment. So to cut corners he use the technique that include primer and I knew it was primer as I know the smell. That night my hands look horrible. They were swollen and sore. I run a salon in Parkland and my hands look so bad I was embarrassed not to mention the burn was even worse. The nails them selves did look great Iām not knocking that. The young man has skills for sure But I wish he did what I asked NexGEN or any dip brand. After four days of my hands coming down I said to myself OK they look good but then proceeded to pop off one by one.we only put one tip on . Other wise it was my natural nail I donāt want my money back and I donāt want to come back for anything. And I wasnāt going to write a review but talking to a couple my clients that have been there and had Experiences like that it just sucks. Like I said the overall experience was OK the young man That did my nails was awesome just wish he didnāt cut corners or made me feel like I was intruding somebody elseās...
