It was 10/06/2023 approximately 12:30 am. I just worked 16hrs beginning at 8am on the 5th. My lady and I were actually excited to go to Wawa for food and gas. After, ordering our food and grabbing a drink and a snack.we were informed by a man with a long beard (teammate),very nicely and professional that the registers were only accepting cash. He suggested trying self checkout. So we did, attempting to purchase our food the self checkout was not accepting cards or “tap” payments. I noticed the gentleman next to me was able to pay with card. So I removed the item listed for the next guest, as that action called an associate for assistance I moved to the next self checkout. This very particular person who came to clear the automatic call button, dark-hair, shoulder length , top heavy, strange voice , fairly tan, name unknown. Approached and told me that, what I did was wrong, and that I had to reorder everything including my food that was being prepared. Also that the system was being reset and I would have to wait. Unfortunately, after working from 8am-12am I wanted to be in and out. And I really didn’t know how long it was going to take. The person who I believe is a CSM or supervisor overnight of some sort definitely lacked the whole customer service professionalism. I would hire this individual to repel customers, If this is how the individual treats loyal customers I only imagine how it treats its coworkers. The man with a beard should be in their position. After all the inconvenience and attitude by this particular employee, I decided to leave. leaving everything I wanted and attempted to buy behind. I still needed gas. As I walked back to my car there happened to be a notice on the screen that said “security check “ which prevented me from being able to pay and get gas. I don’t see how that a failed attempt inside for food would make a pump station cease, two different transactions.I am believing it was purposely done because I decided to leave. Complete retaliation by this individual I described earlier. I called for help, asking if they can clear this “security check “ as I am trying to pay for gas. The same individual who came to the register was the same person who answered the pump station call. It told me that I had to drive to another pump so I did. While Annoyed that someone with such a large head could have such a small brain and passion to help customers at a very reputable Wawa, let alone it being their job. I kept my composure and decided to write this honest complaint. I will not be returning util...
Read moreFirst I ordered a no bun Italian bowl, a Wawa soft pretzel with cheddar cheese sauce online and when I got there several "restaurant or w.e. you wanna call em" employees walk right by me standing at the window and lits not like they didn't see me, as I made eye contact with them. They weren't making any orders and normally employees like that ask when they see someone standing at the pick up window with several orders made already, can I help you.... So crappy customer service throughout this review will be apparent. Secondly, I get home and My order was completely wrong in the no bun bowl as they left out several ingredients, the pretzel was hard as a rock and the cheese was cold and clumpy. Ok.... So I call and the "manager" says he'll make a new one right away and that he was leaving, so ok atp I'm like whatever they're making it right this time, I'll go back out and waste my gas. How wrong I was, I shoulda learned the first time, I got there to a long line that I shouldn't have had to wait in as they shoulda never got it wrong to begin with, but I did only for the "manager" on duty to say oh yeah that manager isn't here and you have to reorder it.... Atp I'm like eff it man that whole store is horribly run and the people who work there have horrible customer service skills, have piss poor attitudes, lie and can do simple tasks like get what's on a piece of paper and put it in a bowl, heat up a pretzel and cheese and do it correctly. We learned how to follow directions in Kindergarten I guess them people were...
Read moreWAWA is the latest gas station craze to hit South Florida. They are originally from PA and are expanding into South Florida which has really been a wasteland for a decent convenience store with food. This is not your local 7-11. The gas station is brightly lit with a convenience store that serves food 24/7. Gas prices at WAWA are usually very competitive but not as much so here in upscale Parkland. Lower prices for gas can usually be found at other locations.
You order and customize your order via Kiosk and pay at a register. I would think it would certainly be faster if y9ou could wither pay on the terminal or via phone. They have a phone app where you can place your order as well. The only issue is you cannot pay for the order on the phone as you still have to go to a register even to use the Apple Wallet/WAWA app. Use the WAWA app and gift card to get bonus free stuff for every $50.00 in spend on gas and or food.
The store itself is spotless and has pretty good fresh coffee. The subs are ok. Understand that things are more or less automated and pre prepared back in the food prep area. Its convenient and ok but dont expect the best sub of your life there.
Since there are so few choices for food at off hours around this area it is a good choice. They sell the Philly pretzels you can heat at home. The real PHILLY pretzels. Not something rotating around a heat lamp. They sell smoothies and other coffee drinks as well. Dont expect Starbucks level but they...
