Gamers Haven — Local services in Parma Heights

Gamer Haven located in Parma, Ohio is a really nice and friendly place for what I'd like to think is new beginners and long time players of the trade. Shop has games ranging from Warhammer 40k, Warcry, Arkham Nightmares, to simple card games like Pokémon and a game series called Munchkin Knights I'm pretty sure. Owner has a nice trade of what I believe was White Price Tags having 10% off the price plus other goodies to help, to Green Price Tags making certain items I believe 50% off. The place has an Encouraged Loitering policy. Rooms to rent for sessions and mini figs to use to boot. There's also a community paint area to use. Stuff like dice, and certain card packs like Pokémon cards are a full price item unless there is a special sale. Can't wait to go back and visit again soon and hopefully make a purchase after reviewing some...

Called from out of state (Kentucky) to purchase an boardgame expansion called Talisman: Woodland for my private collection. The clerk said they had two copies at 39.95 each but would not mail them to me for whatever reason. Ok fine, I have a good friend that lives nearby who was willing to drive there, purchase it and mail it to me himself. Upon arriving he's told that both copies were pulled off the shelf because they're out of print and selling for 2-3 times the cost on eBay and the owner is keeping one for himself and most likely selling the other to pad his pocket dispite quoting a customer a price who simply wants to complete his private collection and NOT scalp someone for profit.

The owner is incredibly knowledgeable and very friendly. I went in after more than a decade of not playing Dungeons and Dragons and he helped me get back on my feet again. I have since gone in a few times to ask some questions and he has been tremendously helpful and friendly. He never pushes a sale more than a mere suggestion and even suggests other free resources I could pursue.

His store is PACKED with merchandise of every sort. All very organized and neatly presented.

I have been to many other similar hobby shops and never able to deal with someone so glad to welcome a new player and answer questions. I highly recommend visiting this shop, even if just to look around and check out...
