Connie is amazing! Connie Tao is really talented, does great work, and has impeccable taste! Connie designed a couple of my close friend's wedding gowns. After I've seen my friend's gowns, I knew I wanted Connie Tao to design my wedding dress. I wanted a one of a kind dress made especially for me. Who would want a dress that someone else wore? Right? When I met with Connie to discuss the design of my wedding dress, she was so easy to talk to, great personality, and made me feel very comfortable. She is honest, and tells you what type of fit would look good on your body type. She provided me sketches and gave me different type of options. I can't say enough wonderful things about Connie. The entire process of getting my dress made from start to finish was just amazing. She gave me the most beautiful dress that fit ME perfectly. Connie is not only an amazingly talented dress designer, but she truly cares about her clients and you can see how much love and care goes into making you the dress of your dreams. All my friends call me a control freak/ bridezilla (which I am not), but I didn't have to once worry about my dress because I was in good hands. I didn't have to follow up with her once! She had everything under control. There aren't enough words to describe how gorgeous my dress was, how absolutely amazing Connie is, and how wonderful the entire wedding dress experience was. Hands down, the best designer you will ever meet. Connie also made my hanbok and my bridesmaid dresses, which were beautiful!! If you want a dress made for your special day, Connie will be the best choice. You don't have to worry about anything; you can have your own stylist and dress especially for you! I'm so happy and honored to have my dresses made by Connie...

I have a mini (bridal) dress from Katherine Tash that’s too loose around my bust and it bothered me to no end. I previously took it to another tailor who added cups and it was still gigantic around my bust. I then took the dress to Connie and she has magic hands! Not only did she quote me a super reasonable price, but also she turned the dress around in three days!! I am so happy with how my dress fits now.

If I want to be extremely nit-picky, the stitching could be a little neater. However, no one is going to flip your dress inside out to check those details, nor do I think it matters at the end of the day (I am purely mentioning it in case others care). For me personally, the dress fits like a glove, the price is right, the turnaround is fast, and that’s a 12/10 in my book!

It’s also worth mentioning that I found Connie via my friend who took her $10k+ super expensive Galia Lahav gown to Connie. Her dress was at least one or two sizes too small (uh I can go on and on about Galia Lahav horror stories), and Connie made her dress look like it’s custom made!! I saw my friend’s wedding photos and was super impressed by how well the dress fit her, and that’s why I reached out to ask who...

After trying on dresses at several different shops, decided to go with Connie for the following reasons:

In our initial meeting, I brought a few example pictures and we discussed what I liked and didn't like. She incorporated our discussion into a series of a few lovely hand drawn designs. We met again and discussed what I liked and tried on a few dresses that either had some of the features or similar silhouettes. As with most dresses, we met a few more times as the dress was being made to make sure the measurements were correct.
