I called in advance to ensure that they had a selection of Christening dresses in size "3 months" because other stores we looked at only had size 6 months and up in the styles we liked. I was reassured that they have a large selection in this size to suit a wide range of budgets. So I drove over a half-hour away with my sleeping infant, woke her up in the store to try on multiple dresses, only to discover when they were too big on her that they were all 6-month sizes and up.
The store clerk was telling me the dresses only looked bigger on her because of the way I was holding her, but they looked big no matter how I held her because they were not her size. Besides, nobody wants to be constantly adjusting and pulling down a dress on a baby all day during her Christening when she will be passed around to multiple relatives and taking pictures. For all that money, the dress should fit correctly on the one day that she will be wearing it.
When I then asked to see their dresses for 3-month-olds, I was shown only one very plain-looking white dress in a cotton material that looked like something I could get at Target for $10. Had they advised me of this when I called in advance, I would have saved myself the hour and a half of wasted time. I believe they said whatever they needed to in order to try to earn my business.
Also, they seemed annoyed that I refused to change my baby on an old armchair covered in glitter in the front part of the store, since apparently infants cannot try on dresses in their fitting rooms. That policy is fine and understandable, but they should have a changing table of some sort that can be wiped down and sanitized. I ended up changing her on a window display after first laying a blanket down. I was also told they do not allow pictures to be taken of their dresses in the store, which seemed strange and a bit suspect. The entire experience left a sour taste...
Read moreI went in there for a dress for my daughter. The employees seemed nice at first when they greet you but no help at all. I asked if they had a dress in a larger size and she answer whatever is on that hanger is what we have. 4 ladies and no one got near me to help me . My friend and i did did all the searching alone. Finally i found 4 dresses while she was trying on one and when I got close to the fitting room that's when the employee started following me around . She demanded i give her the dresses back as we can only try on 2 at a time. That was the last straw for me. I would've walked out because I knew I could get a better deal elsewhere however I was pressed with time. I decided on a dress and processed to check out. She didn't even help with that and asked someone else to do it. Go shop elsewhere if you can . The employees are stuck up and act like you're going steal their dresses. The owner was there and did nothing so she doesn't realize the employees are what will have this place close down in no time. Consumers are what make a business run and we...
