El Gordo Restaurant — Restaurant in Passaic

We usually go to the restaurant on Union Avenue in Paterson for the Chaufa especial. This is an affiliated restaurant. The portion at this restaurant is not the same and the food was not as good. The chicken was chopped into huge chunks. The chicken and the steak had slabs of fat. It seemed as if they didn’t trim the meat as well. The meat in the Paterson restaurant is usually chopped into bite-size portions and FAR more tender. The shrimp at the Paterson location is usually much more tender as well. The egg was also in a huge scramble chunk and burned on one side. The Chaufa had the same overall flavor, but the quality of the proteins was terrible in comparison. Absolutely unacceptable. We ordered two orders of white quarter chicken (breast part) with white rice and extra sauce for pick up. We received dark meat. Now this isn’t the first time this occurred. Last time we received one dark and one white quarter chicken which we just let it go. Now this time around we received two dark meat quarters chicken which we specifically indicated on the phone we wanted white meat. I called to request them to exchange it to the correct order. The guy said he didn’t speak English and when they finally understood they said they can’t switch it.How is it that it’s ok for the restaurant to make a mistake and they couldn’t correct it. Will never come back to this place, my server was rude even the owner was rude. The price on the menu is different I ordered el gordo seafood fried rice on the menu it says $21 they charged me $25 when i asked why they were charging me more the server said thats what the system was charging, i asked for a manager the owner came to speak to me and said they haven’t updated the menu $25 is the price if i dont like it i can leave.
