If you *need* a free hot meal or *need* a place to stay, fine. But this place shuffles people in and out of treatment like cattle, rarely ever actually helping anyone. They’re cashing out big time under the guise of “treatment” while the ex addicts that are now employed there abuse their authority. Some of the staff are particularly Deesgraceful. Listening outside of clients bedrooms. Telling them they can leave if they don’t like the treatment…people who are just barely holding into their sobriety. I mean…how dare they ask for basic respect and proper living conditions. Am I right?? Leaking roof? Just throw a tarp up in the ceiling until it caves in. No problem. With the hundreds of thousands this place rakes in for the “cost” of running a treatment facility, if you dare to call it that, I expect so much better. Just as far as basic hygiene. I needed help. I needed a place to live and what I got, what everyone gets, is you either find a place yourself, do all the work yourself, or they’ll find you a homeless shelter. Which they also conveniently run!!!! And it’s much! much! much! nice and cleaner with kinder and more dedicated staff!!!! The fraud!!! I forgot to mention the fraud! The women’s halfway house continued to use my roommates food stamps for almost a year after she left. Food stamps that *must* be transferred into the financial directors name when you arrive. I’m sure that type of financial abuse and outright theft would be stopped, if only the Passaic County Welfare Office weren’t just as morally bankrupt. Who ever run’s the Eva’s social media account, please tell me you did not reply with “what could we have done better?” Better? Better living conditions. Better treatment. Actual treatment and counseling!! Did you not see the ceiling caved in from failure to do basic building up keep while drug court pays $1,000 a night for each client to be in your halfway program???

DO NOT GO HERE FOR A HALFWAY HOUSE! Absolutely such a horrible place. They do not care about you your recovery or your children. They only care about your money. Do not donate a single penny or item to this place either because none of it goes to the halfway houses. It’s extremely upsetting that a place that’s supposed to provide guidance support and a safe environment doesn’t do any of those things. For us addicts/alcoholics we are in such an extremely vulnerable place in our lives we think going to a place that’ll protect us and help will actually do those things. Unfortunately they do not. They just want your food stamps claiming that they purchase food when it’s all donated and expired. The way they speak to you and treat you is disturbing. They allow bullying to go on they have favoritism which they should treat everyone there the same and they have ZERO respect for you but then they demand respect. Place is a joke and the CEO should take a very hard look at how the halfway houses are truly ran. Talk to the clients about what legitimately goes on there because staff lies makes ALOT of things up and doesn’t do anything they say they do. It’s very sad for the companies who donate because they’re getting robbed. Those companies or places think that what they donate are truly going to help the clients but they’re not. Staff lies on government documents just so they can take your assistance money. They do not do anything that they say they’ll do. Do not go here. Look into other halfway houses or mommy and me programs. Great expectations and Epiphany house are AMAZING places to go to for a mommy me program. They truly help they truly care they truly help you find housing they let you work they don’t steal your money favoritism doesn’t happen they help you with formula diapers wipes and other necessities. Try those places instead. Do your research if you’re looking for a halfway house or a...

Why do you have pictures of people with their families?!! You represent something you dont give help towards!!! Evas village, you dont take care of your rehab for men... My man is stuck there for months and has no other choice but to be there Nd you make it miserable for him. HE CANT EVEN COME HOME TO SEE HIS SON!!! You only let them out for 8 hours at most and we live an hour away!!! Mind you he has no car!!! You are not a family oriented facility at all!!! You people make him pay over 100$ a week for rent for a room he share with 2 other people!!!! THAT MONEY SHOULD BE GOING TOWARD OUR SON!! Like he would want!! Then on top of it people in your facility eat his food so he has nothing! This is a HORRIBLE place!! Folks be careful and do your research from people who have actually stayed here!!! They are theives and make theyre residents miserable! My man hasnt been the same since hes gotten here :( And never gets to spend time with our brand new baby because they never let him out for a reasonable...
