So, I was a huge fan of Goodwill! I found many good treasures here, and most of my clothes come from Goodwill. Me and my family are huge thrift store shoppers! However, since the pandemic, Goodwill has gotten rid of many of the things that make shopping at Goodwill fun, and because of that, me and my family have been shopping at other thrift stores more and more. The latest thing is that they have removed their dressing rooms! I went to talk to a lady, and she said that because of shoplifting, the pandemic, and many other things, every location will be getting rid of their dressing rooms. “This seems foolish,” I explained to the lady, “how am I supposed to know whether or not what I am buying fits?“ She told me about their seven day refund policy at any location. I have a big family! There are six members in my family and we are really busy, you mean to tell me that I am supposed to take time out of my day to go to a Goodwill after I have tried on all of my stuff at my house, and return it!?! These employees in Goodwill Payson were rude. There was a lot of people working on Thursday during the day and most of the employees shoved there was past my two daughters and I, like we were causing them an inconvenience being in their way as they were trying to put merchandise on the shelves. There was one point we were on a small aisle towards the end of the aisle and my baby was crying in the stroller. I was trying to comfort her and get her out of the stroller and this employee was trying to shove herself between the racks and the stroller without saying excuse me. She gave me zero time to move or get my baby out first before she said “I need down that aisle”. It baffled me this employee has a job! She was so rude! Wish I would have asked her name so I could have put it here. There were a couple nice ladies working but that was 2 out of the 8 we had an interaction with. Something else to note at this location - all sales final. No dressing room. The combination of the customer service and the inconvenience to make sure clothes work here for your family before buying them has me looking elsewhere to...

This Goodwill Store is under new management and is cleaned up a bit. The 'attitude' from employees is gone, and the personnel seems happy to be there. I've gotten some good deals on glassware and bath linens; things that can be carefully and thoroughly cleaned. Too soon for clothing yet. Prices are about average. Close up parking in a strip mall setting.

Fitting rooms are permanently closed. No trying on anything. Take it home and return it for store credit if you are not satisfied. Shopping carts do not go outside. Expect an escort if you didn't know. I didn't and was startled by the male voice in my ear telling me so. Don't startle anyone these days. Tuesday is senior discount day. 25% off the total at the register for anyone 55 or over.
