This review was edited after the owner replied seeing as how she made it where I cannot make another review or reply to hers. Absolutely horrible. I don't recommend this dress shop to anyone, especially if you plan on getting alterations.Let me explain since the owner wants to act like it's my fault. When I bought the dress I had it set up for alterations, nothing complicated. I came back a few weeks later to try it on and to pay the alterations. ALL the alterations were wrong, nothing was done the way I asked for it to be. The owner was very rude and acted irritated that she had to deal with what THEY messed up. She told me "that's what you agreed on". When I purchased the dress then made the alterations, they were perfect. When I got the dress back nothing was right. I waited about a month for a notification saying my dress was finished. I ended up having to call because the owner never texted me. My sister and I got to the shop and we were greeted by a very disrespectful owner once again. I had my heels so I could try on the dress, she looked at me and said "I thought I made it very clear that you couldn't try on your dress, but apparently I didn't." She wanted me to pay for alterations on a dress I couldn't try on. She told me to come AFTER April or whenever the virus is gone to come back to try it on. I told her that my prom date was moved so I didn't know when it was going to be. I needed enough time to make sure everything was good with the dress just in case I needed to get another one. I asked her what we could do about the situation and that I wanted a refund seeing as they could just take out all the alterations to make the dress look like it did before I purchased it. She told me no they don't do refunds because of how the dresses are. I was not told when I bought the dress that I couldn't refund it even though I never took it home. Turns out it's on the very bottom of their receipts in small print. I told the owner that every alterations was wrong before so I couldn't take a chance on getting it and it still not being correct. She proceeded to tell me that she didn't think everything was wrong. It doesn't matter what she thinks is wrong or right with the dress. It matters what I think because I'm the one paying/wearing the dress. She was very rude and disrespectful to me but yet was nicer yet still rude to my sister. I never once gave her a reason to be so rude, I never had an attitude. I understand mistakes happen, but I don't understand a rude and disrespectful owner who acts irritated when a customer has a problem with something. The girls there she has working were very polite and helpful. It's the owner that has such a bad attitude when you ask her to fix things. This is my 4th prom, I know my way with dresses and dress shops. It's not that hard to fit a dress to my body type, the alterations were so simple. Instead they took the easy way out when performing the alterations, and it shows. I've been to several dress shops and dealt with many people but this shop by far is the worst. The owner wants to blame me for their carelessness. I never told her my prom was cancelled, I told her the date was moved. She told me to come after April, it's now May 1st. The BBB will be hearing of the shops actions as soon as possible. If you are not going to care about your customers and if they're happy or not, don't own...
   Read moreThis is the worst experience Iâve had at a dress shop. They didnât have a good selection first off not for the size we were looking for. Then I was looking at dresses and was informed that I needed to go to the back of the store, and those were the ones I could chose from. Staff wasnât helpful and told me one thing was ok and then owner came out and told me it wasnât more than time in different situations. Then made to feel like we were more of a bother than customers. The last straw was when the owner told me my daughter had plenty of dresses she had already tried on so pick from those. When we were not 100% happy with anything we had tried on!! Seriously!! We never even had the chance to try on a dress to purchase only rentals. Never again!! My daughter has been doing pageants for years and does well. I was talked to in a manner that was unprofessional and she rushed all the way through the experience. Oh and careful you may be looking at a dress and it may be a rental hanging on the rental rack, but several was taken off the rack in front of me and Didnât get the chance to try them on. Because the owner simply said she cannot rent those!! I was never against buying a dress no matter the cost. We do lots of pageant so we buy our dresses a lot, she made me feel like I wouldnât be able to afford some of her dresses. Lady you donât know me?!! First and only time I will ever go to this shop. In retail there is no place for making your customer's uncomfortable and absolutely no reason/EXCUSE is a good excuse. They were very unprofessional and the experience was unpleasant for my daughter and I. The older lady at the front desk was very sweet. Even though we received absolutely no help or service from anyone working in the store..... my daughter did find a dress she absolutely loved there. As much as I didn't want to give Glitz and Glamour in Pell City one cent of my hard earned money only because of the two girls working there constantly whispering and laughing at customer's the whole experiencing at Glitz & Glamour made us very uncomfortable ...
