This was our 2nd attempt to have a meal at this Huddle House. We try to patron local businesses. Like the first experience, the staff is not engaging when customers arrive and are standing at the door. They seem listless and completely unmotivated. We were eventually told they could clean off a booth for us. After a lot of back and forth, seemingly aimless, a member of the staff asked if we would like an available table. We accepted and took our seats. Every member of the waiting staff eventually walked by our table with no eye contact and it was obvious they did not want to be distracted from whatever mission they were on. No one took our drink order or even said they would be right with us. We waited about 10 minutes and decided we would give another 3 minutes or so to see if we were even acknowledged.
During this time, the group to our right assertively presented their empty drink glasses and asked to receive a refill. They apparently were frustrated and had to get a little demonstrative to get anyone's attention. The waitress said, "yes, sir" and committed to get right on it. I watched her go behind the counter, move a few things around, go to the back and get a broom and dust pan, and then walk right by the table needing refills. Unbelievable. That was our cue to leave. A couple at the door who had been waiting addressed us and we had an exchange. They walked out with us and said they had tried 3 times to patron the place, but had left each time. They could tell there had been no improvement in their customer service.
I try to be fair with my reviews. I give the establishments that provide excellent product, service and an overall positive experience what they deserve - a great review. Likewise, the same for those that provide a poor product, service or overall disappointing experience. The good ones that desire to improve will take reviews to heart and become better. Those that do not will cease to exist. This establishment needs a re-boot if it is...
Read moreWe visited Huddle House for the 2nd time Saturday Feb 05 & ordered 3 of the Meat lover's Omelet meals for curbside pick up.
Just as our first visit a couple weeks prior, when we arrived and called the number on the sign for curbside pick up and it says that the voicemail is full and they can no longer take anymore calls.
I had been battling COVID all week and I appreciate locations who offer this convenience and more than ever before, we really needed this service (our whole family has COVID).
After getting the same surprise I received last time (the phone line not working due to voicemail box full), I already knew it was going to be the same thing which was me sitting and hoping someone would come out. I can see the waitresses lookout out the glass door right at me but no one stopped to ask me my name so they can get my order.
I had to go inside with my baby and sick with COVID & frustrated after waiting when all I wanted was to use the curbside service so I wouldn't have to go in. I asked for my money back and the lady I spoke to said they wouldn't be able to give me my money back because it's a mobile order. She went and talked to a manager. While I heard the manager talking to her she never bothered to try to come talk to me. I heard her tell her to lie the receipt on the desk and she will try to refund it when she got off the grill.
I know it can take a while for a refund to take place on a card but I am hoping she initiated the refund. I felt like I was a bother to them and they didn't even try to fix what happened.
There had been another car sitting curbside and I let her know she had another one on the curb. She looked out the door and said, "Ah! She hasn't been sitting out there that long." Didn't try to peep her head out or anything.
This was my 2nd time doing a curbside pick up order to sit curbside and be ignored. I will not be going back. I just want my refund...
Read moreI would say I come to huddle house semi often, once every month or two. This has got to be the worst food Ive ever gotten here out of any time I've ever come. The cook who made our food was vaping on the floor, the other servers were vaping, everyone was vaping except for our server. I ordered the MVP breakfast with fries instead of hash browns and scrambled eggs, here is everything wrong with each part of my meal: the eggs our cook scrambled our eggs, put them onto the burner, and did not scramble or move them at all until the bottom was scorched. the result was a "scrambled" egg with a runny topside and a burned bottom side. the sausage me and my fiance's sausage was incredibly burnt to the part it was hard to rip off, terrible overall. the pancakes the pancakes are the only part of my meal that wasn't terrible the biscuit they made my biscuit wrong, I ordered no gravy, and that's fine I know accidents happen. however the next biscuit I received was cold, not only that but the cook who made it rolled his eyes when my server took the food back, grabbed a biscuit out the drawer, put it in the microwave for exactly 4 seconds, put it in a bowl hastily and shoved it in my servers direction before walking out to smoke. my server, I didn't catch her name, was the only person on the floor who wasn't vaping and she did a good job serving, I wish the rest of these guys weren't nicotine addicted and didn't care...
