North South Grill in Pembroke Pines has become my go-to spot not once but twice, each visit leaving me more impressed than the last. My first foray into this culinary haven was on a quest for smash burgers with my best friend. Yet, upon arrival, we were swayed by the siren call of their steak subs. It was a decision that led us to a mouthwatering revelation. The freshness of the ingredients, paired with the crispness of the bread, created a symphony of flavors that danced across our palates, leaving us in awe of the meal's sheer deliciousness. Fast forward to our second visit, this time with the addition of my friend's wife, who was eager to experience the magic of North-South Grill for herself. With hearts set on the original mission, we dove into the smash burgers. My friend and his wife opted for the classic ¼ LB Cheeseburger, while I, drawn by the allure of a challenge, chose the ½ LB Hot South. Accompanied by a generous helping of fries, our table soon fell silent under the weight of our focused feasting. The burgers were phenomenal, with mine delivering just the right spice to keep the senses engaged and craving more. We found ourselves in a predicament of abundance, realizing the fries, though delicious, were more than ample for the three of us—a minor oversight in an otherwise perfect meal. Reflecting on my visits to North-South Grill, I realize it's the place that repeatedly invites you back. From the inviting ambiance highlighted on its website to the delightful discovery that even its 'negative' is a testament to its generosity, it's a restaurant that knows how to leave a lasting impression. Whether you're there for the steak subs that sing with freshness or the smash burgers that quiet a room with their irresistible appeal, North-South Grill stands as a testament to culinary excellence. And yes, the plentiful and tasty fries might be a meal. Laughing at the thought of 'too much food' being our only quibble, I'm already planning my next visit. North South Grill, you've won our hearts and our appetites.

8/17/2025: Northsouth Grill owner, I come here often. Delicious burgers, but the last thing I want to see as I enter your establishment, is an employee with an attitude. The first person you see as you walk in, is your cashier. I believe her name was Waneesha. No welcome no hello no how may I serve you... She's just standing there with a face and attitude. Her whole demeanor was simply she didn't want to be there. It hurts your business. Customer service is paramount... Treat ppl as you would like to be treated. Doesn't matter how good your food is...if your customer service sucks, youll have a failed business... ------------------------------------------------ Ok so I can honestly say I've been to this restaurant since it opened. In the very beginning, the attention and the quality of food was on point. I recall tasting the delicious burger with tzatsiki fries.. it was heaven. Today, I noticed it was busier which means good business and well deserved as I remember how good the burger was. I wanted to try something different and went with the gyro, tzatsiki fries and a burger. I was a bit disappointed. The quality was different... Gyro was extremely salty, burger was greasy as can be and the fries were not consistent. Some were burnt and were not like I remember. I hope the increase of traffic has not affected the quality. To the owner: it's important to maintain a consistency of the quality of food. It's better to take the time to ensure the food is on point than to rush it just to meet the increase in demand. I hope the quality i remember returns. One thing I did enjoy from here was the fact that the food was fresh and it didn't feel like your ordinary fast food joint. Today, however, it felt like any fast food restaurant.

I’d heard about North South Grille from a Burger Beast review a few years back, so when I was in the area I had to stop by. Walking in, it felt like an old-school sub shop that had a little bit of everything on the menu—burgers, fresh fries, gyros, subs, chicken tenders, and more. Whenever I’m visiting a place for the first time, I like to order it the way they intend, so I went with a double cheeseburger ($10.99), made it a combo for $6.99, and upgraded my fries to Greek fries for another $2.50. At first, I thought it was on the pricier side, but I was completely wrong once the food came out. They give you a ton of fries, and the Greek fries in particular were loaded to the point of almost being too much—in a good way. They layered them with toppings (tzatziki sauce, cheese, herbs, and other gyro-style add-ons), then more fries, then more toppings again. Easily one of the more satisfying loaded fry options I’ve had in a while. And to top it off, they have Coke Zero, which is always a big plus for me. As for the burger, it’s a smash style and overall pretty solid. Next time I’d skip the lettuce and tomato, since I don’t think those belong on a smash burger. Just sauce, pickles, and maybe onions would make it shine more. My only real critique is the bun—it was dense and didn’t bring much to the table. A softer potato roll or brioche bun would really elevate the burger and fit the style better. All things considered, for the portions, flavor, and price, I was more than happy with the meal. North South Grille is definitely a spot I’d come back to, and next time I’ll probably branch out into some of the other items on their menu.

Best "Classic Burgers" in South FL cooked on a griddle. They are smash burgers but not too much...I would say perfect! I got the double with bacon all the way. Normally I don't order bacon as it is typically soggy from sitting in a grease pan. However, this bacon was crispy and perfectly cooked. I probably won't order it again because the burger is perfect without it! They have their own special sauce which was amazing! One large fries is enough for 3 to 4 adults! The onion rings were great...I don't know if they make them from scratch but they were fantastic.

I can't wait to return to try the Cheese Steak Sub as it looked great! PS...I am not sure if they put their special sauce on the Cheese Steak, if not I will ask for it on the side to add it myself because it is that good!!!

The restaurant is small with approximately 12 four person tables that are lined against both walls. It is decorated sort of like a Burgerfi but more of a friendly neighborhood place. The staff is super and the owners actually cook themselves. Well, to be honest the young girl taking the order needed some training. She was like a robot and repeated everything we said and entering into their system before we even finished talking. Needless to say she kept making mistakes. We ordered 6 burgers and 2 chicken tenders to go. So, it took some time and confusion. My wife and I laughed to ourselves during the order process. "Me being me"...I want everyone to be happy, so I pulled her personality out of her by talking and joking with her. But then I listened to the next customer and she went back to being a robot. But in the end, the owners made up for it by coming out to greet us and say thanks even though we took our order to go.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND North South Grill if you want a quick burger. Seriously, check...
