I never felt this mistreated in a Macy’s store, I went to the Macy’s Men at Pembroke Lakes Mall on March 7th, 2020 at night and the customer service employee was very rude to me. Had an attitude since I started talking to him and I didn’t care at the begging but I was trying to process and exchange for a wallet and he mentioned that I got it on a discount, and I had been looking to another wallet but since I thought the price was higher I didn’t take it, so I said why not to take the other one. Those wallets are very close to the customer service station in the Macy’s men in Pembroke Lakes Mall, so I told him that I was going to grab another wallet since the price was cheaper. The guy said hold on a second, and I’m like I’m just going to grab this wallet and it would take me one second to give it to you so you can ring it up together, and with a rude attitude he told me that he was going to help the next customer because he was not going to have her waiting, I would have understood that, but literally he was about to start processing my exchange and the other wallet was right there. I could not believed the way he was talking to me, which made me very disappointed because I’m a loyal Macy’s customer and never anyone made me feel like that. I told him that If he did not want to help me I would have someone else to do it and he said... Okay! I could not believe it. Then right there he was super nice to the American woman that was behind me and said in a nice fake tone, I’m sorry! And I said can I talk to your Supervisor and again with attitude he called and gave a little different version over the phone and I had already grabbed in my hand the other wallet and told the guy, you see you would have already helped me, I just grabbed it in one second. When the supervisor came I explained her everything and showed her where the wallets where and what I was going to buy on hands and told her that it took the guy more to call her than what I took grabbing the other wallet. When I grabbed the other wallet he was not even started completely with the other lady he had just said “hello I’m sorry” I felt like the other lady was more important than me because he treated her really nice and was very rude to me with no need. I’m super disappointed. I have to say thank you to the supervisor because she was nice to me and apologized, I work also on customer service and I know that some customers are abusive and rude but this was not the case, I always opt to talk to people kindly and respectfully because we all deserve respect and understanding and I also know that even when we are having a bad day we still have to be or at least try to be kind and respectful, at least when you work as a customer service representative in a store with such an amazing...

My husband and I just had a horrible experience at this Macy's. I bought a pair of shoes online for 50 dollars. The shoes did not fit. Since it did not fit, I did not inspect the shoes to see if there were any damages. In fact, I did not even walk on the shoes. Since I live fairly close to this store, I went to the store to return the shoes. There is a return service counter right in the front of the store. My husband and I have returned things here before. We went to the line and presented the item. We were accused of using the item and trying to return. My husband and I were flabbergasted. I never even used the shoes. The shoes had scuff marks on the sole. Guess what? I have carpeted floors. The shoes clearly failed any quality control standards and testing. We were badly treated. The original customer support old woman wearing a black mask was unfriendly from the getgo. Never even a hello. Then I was accused of using these shoes. Then she started complaining and called over another associate named Robert who was 6.5 ft tall. He came over and questioned us on why we did NOT call the customer service right away! Then I said, "why would I call customer service when we're going to return it here? Also, since it was too big for me, I did not care to inspect it UNDER THE SHOE! We were planning to bring it right here to the store. Why would we bother calling customer service?" To which he kept responding that we should've called customer support. What the heck?!? We live close to the store. And your store is processing returns, aren't you? Clearly this store is processing returns. I'm in the freaking RETURNS line and counter! My husband kept on saying why would we do that we are returning the item in the store. He then said, "you didn't notice the scuff marks?" No we did not, since it did not fit and there was no need to inspect because we trusted the name of Macy's. Finally he took the shoes and called customer service himself. He talked for some time and then handed the phone over to me. We processed it over the phone. Finally we received our money back. We were treated badly and insulted and accused of unscrupulous behavior. We felt upset afterwards for how lowly we were treated. The old woman had the audacity to accuse me right off the bat as if I were a criminal. Except maybe here, she is the criminal by association...she's the one working for a corporation that tries to sell used products to unsuspecting customers.
Avoid this Macy's...
Read moreWorse shopping experience, Today I went to the Macys in Pembroke Pines to do a return. First I was not aware that Macys changed the return policy. The cashier was not the friendliest but I greeted her with a good Morning! She did not even acknowledge me and said how can I help. ( Sheila). I told her I need to return some items and she continue with the return . She suddenly stopped and told me it is past the 30 days. I told her I was out of state and honestly I was not aware of the return policy. She said okay I am going to do it and gave me a lecture about the 30 days policy. After she asked me if the other return was past the 30 days, I told her yes, she said I cannot do it. I asked to speak to a manager. She called a manager who came to the register chewing gum, no name tag and a terrible attitude and told me she was not able to take it back and I should read the policy. I explained to her that I was out of state and just got back. She said well no, we cannot take it back. I asked her if at least she can make a one time exception, she said no, I told her I have my receipt. My question is where is the customer service and this retailer are wondering why they are not generating enough sales. How can they generate sales and profit with this type of customer service. There is no customer service, you go to this store and the associates act like you are bothering them instead of helping the customer. Also the manager which her name is ADRiIAN had no name tag and was super unprofessional, she came to the register chewing gum, like she was at a park or at home. Macys should do a customer service training and train their manager to have better customer service and conduct themselves in a professional manner. If the return was not able to be done at least a store credit if the customer have their receipt. I understand if there is no receipt but if the customer has a receipt a one time exception...
